Negative experience: I came for a massage on 12-Jan-2022, which was during the short-lived 2 or 3-ish week COVID lockdown that happened that month, and my massage therapist Kathryn Docherty sounded very hoarse-voiced and sniffly, but there she was at the clinic, so I figured she might be like that all the time (allergies? smoker? who knows) and surely wouldn't be at work during a big lockdown while being sick, right? She even had me take off my mask for part of the massage (neck/shoulders while I was face-down, she did not have/need access to my face/scalp/ears)... Weird but I accepted, figured she knew what she was doing. Nope, a few days later, the clinic contacted me to let me know that my massage therapist had COVID that day and therefore I was exposed to COVID. I can guess how she caught it, with the masks off for massages. I did not seem to catch it thankfully, but it was still a scary experience that put immense stress on me, as I had to spend a solid week avoiding my elderly parents and my partner who worked with kids, as I did not want any of them to catch it or pass it on to vulnerable people. So my issue here lies in the fact that this experience left a real bad taste in my mouth. My work, which is not customer facing at all, had incredibly strict guidelines at that time regarding sounding/acting sick and self-reporting how you felt daily, so we could avoid coming to work sick. And we could never take off our masks for extended periods. Why would a health clinic, and a professional in a customer facing extremely close-contact job, not have the same rules? What other important health/safety guidelines are they not following here? Just leaving this review to tell my story, which has weighed on me for years now - make your own decisions regarding this place, but be vigilant as this experience made me lose my trust. The massage was good, and since COVID is obviously no longer a big issue, it is probably safe - but maybe avoid if you're a higher risk individual during, say, flu season.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lauren Walker (Chiropractor) and Kathryn Docherty (RMT), and they are both incredibly kind, compassionate, and true experts in what they do. I have never once felt rushed, pressured to leave, or like I was taking up too much of their time — which speaks volumes about the level of care they provide. Most recently, I was dealing with vertigo. Where a typical MD might have simply prescribed medication to suppress the symptoms, Dr. Walker focused on addressing the root cause. Fantastic experience: I would recommend this business over and over again to anyone! Been seeing Lauren for about two months now for an anterior pelvic tilt and diastases recti and she explains everything with great detail and makes you feel completely comfortable. The receptionist is just lovely and had a great chat with my toddler the one day I had to bring him along with me. This is my new go to spot for many things now!

Although, I did fall asleep at some parts despite the pressure. It was an overall great experience. The facility is very warm and welcoming. Ample parking space in the back. Would definitely return!

Fantastic experience: April 11/24 have been seeing Dr Natalie, and occasionally Dr Lauren for laser and acupuncture for the last year from a really bad car accident and not only are they flexible, they are outstanding in whatever they practice. They truly care about their patients and I can't imagine going anywhere else. New: same old same old. Still perfection. They do everything they can to help you get well they cover everything to get you well again! chiropractic, laser, massage. the staff are great ppl too, so friendly and kind, and professional and prompt! With a compression fracture Dr Natalie knew what to do and all the staff make u feel well. Dr Natalie pay attention to everything you're going through. the best place! Dr Lauren is also laser chiropractic and acupuncture. She subs in when Natalie is away then I never feel lost in the shuffle

My initial assessment with Dr. Solis was very detailed, taking the time to fully understand the issues I was having and gearing the session towards those requirements. She asked many questions. Fantastic experience: Yesterday, as always, I had a highly effective and wonderful chiropractic treatment by Dr. Lauren Walker. Today I indulged in a 90 minute massage treatment from Phil Nero, and it was fantastic! Phil definitely brings with him a unique set of skills, and he is very intuitive...you know the kind of therapist who always finds those "spots" that need extra attention. No word necessary, he knew exactly where to linger and focus extra attention. I have had a lot of massages in my life, and this was hands down the absolute best!

Negative experience: Overall I will give it a 1 Star Rating for Massage. The RMT was decent however the place is not conducive for massage: - Rooms are not sound proof which means that during the massage you can literally hear the conversations happening at the reception which makes it really uncomfortable. - The rooms have a small stool for the RMT to maneuver around and they make noise during movement because the rooms are not carpeted. - One of the rooms have a big window which during day time brings a lot of light inside a room and does not let you calm down. Overall, if you are looking for a massage that alleviates stress/pain areas in a relaxing environment then this is definitely not the place (Esp. when you compare it with other massage places)

Fantastic experience: I was looking for someone who will directly bill to the insurance companies. This is a very neat, quite and clean place in Brooklin's downtown. The staff is amazing and knowledgeable. One more best thing about this place is that online booking is also available.

Fantastic experience: To make any evaluation, start with the face of any business. It is the receptionist and she was, warm, friendly and helpful. As leaving i noticed, she practiced Covid19 protocols by cleaning. THAT made me even more comfortable about coming back. The initial chat with Dr Lauren, made me realize she was interested as to why I came to seek her help. Dr Lauren helped me to relax and open up. I felt really comfortable about getting the acupuncture procedure. She gave me options / ideas to expand how to take care of myself between appointments. I highly encourage those dealing with health issues, to take the time to connect with the staff at Active Natural Health. The "Active" made it important for me, since I umpire baseball.
