I came in for ankle treatment, and the physiotherapist, Rob, was very professional, knowledgeable, and very supportive throughout the process. After a few sessions, I already noticed improvement. The reception staff were also incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming every time I visited. Overall, the whole team made me feel comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend this clinic!

Fantastic experience: After my car accident, I was left without a car and had to depend entirely on public transit. The location of Burquitlam Physiotherapy made an enormous difference in my recovery. It is an easy walk to the Burquitlam SkyTrain Station, with convenient access to both the Millennium and Expo Lines. That level of accessibility was essential to me after my car was damaged, in the shop. The clinic itself is warm and welcoming. The staff are genuinely friendly and caring. Justin has been most friendly even I forgot his name every time. Dr. Derrick Young is exceptionally experienced and attentive. He listens carefully, works with precision, and pays close attention to detail. His guidance and treatment were instrumental in my recovery from a concussion and significant hip issues. I felt heard, understood, and thoughtfully guided. I am deeply grateful for the care I received and would confidently recommend this clinic to anyone seeking skilled and compassionate physiotherapy, especially if accessibility by transit matters.

Negative experience: I had an appointment with Derrick Young who was the only available physiotherapist at that time in October. The first time he was 5 minutes later and I paid 100 for 25 minutes and the second time he was late again I paid 100 for only 20 minutes treatment time and he even never gave me any exercise to do at home. It’s very disappointing and waste my money!

Fantastic experience: I came here after a car crash to help with rehab for 4 months. Jonathan was excellent in diagnosing and providing the expert care I needed. He was thorough and explained exactly what he was doing through each treatment. After the treatment, I was provided the exact exercises I needed to help relieve my issues from Brandon. He was very clear in his directions for each exercise to make sure I was targeting the correct muscles. Both Brandon and Jonathan are very friendly and I recommend them both for their care and attentiveness during this time.

Fantastic experience: They’ve always been good. But they also seemed to have changed their reception staff and they’re awesome. They’re friendly, polite and professional. I go here because of the physiotherapist Jonathan. The only one to fix my back which I’ve searched so many places in my lifetime and just always professional. I’ve always seen results not just endless sessions

Negative experience: My mom had an appointment at 10:30am and the therapist I believe was Derrek Young showed up late and ended the session early

Fantastic experience: Jonathan Lui was my massage therapist, and Sam helped me out with exercise techniques. Both gentlemen are pleasant, courteous and respectful. Jonathan was very informative about what he was going to do and why he was going to do it, before doing anything. 10/10, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Came in the other day with intense neck/shoulder pain and I was very happy with the treatment I got from Jonathan Coehlo! He took his time listening to me and asking intensive questions and moving me around to figure out the root cause of the problem. He explained things very clearly for me and at the end of my visit I was feeling much better and had more mobility! The next day when I woke up it was the first time things were getting better instead of getting worse. I'm very happy with my treatment here and would recommend to others!

Fantastic experience: Edit*** Regarding below, I got a call from Burquitlam Physio Therapy and they extensively went over my files and we found out that this was not their mistake, but my lawyers. Changed from 2 stars to 5. Thank you for taking the time to call and help me fully understand what happened. DO reccomend. :) I had really enjoyed the services and help I recieved from the therapists, but have to lower my review and have a horrible taste left in my mouth from them because of how they handled my order to pay. They ended up charging me more on interest than if I were to put the charges on a high interest credit card for 3 years. I wont be back. Don't reccomend.

Fantastic experience: We come here and their Kerrisdale location (Kerrisdale physio) to see Dr. Wong for physiotherapy treatments. Friendly staff, lots of parking, and Dr. Wong is REALLY good

Positive experience: I was not able to walk or climb stairs after a fall. I tried massage/physio. Nothing was helping. I had no fracture and because on my previously existing condition - Drs were advising me that made be it was time to use a wheelchair Funtime. Dr Wong got me back to almost where I am before my fall. I recommend him before you give up. His technique is unique but v effective. Thank you Dr Wong.

Fantastic experience: My neck pain and arm tendinitis are getting better after visiting Burquitlam Physio Therapy. Doctor Jonathan is an excellent doctor. I have tried dry needle that was first time for me. I'm waiting to see that result. The front representatives provided good service as well.

I am certain his treatments shortened my recovery time considerably. If other physical injury occurs, I will return again for his services.

Fantastic experience: After playing badminton from the night before, I woke up with a sharp pain in my wrist leaving me unable to use any strength at all (I couldn't even put my car into park mode as I pulled into the parking lot). I thought Jonathan was very knowledgeable. Even though after the session I was still a bit sore, I regained most of my strength. He recommended some things I can do at home and I woke up this morning feeling like new again, thought it would be a good idea to share the experience :)

An active lifestyle and work leave me knotted and achy; I give Marianne a few vague descriptions of what's hurting and like magic she always figures out which muscles to work. One of the few RMTs who treat effectively without discomfort. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I was in rear-ended in a car accident in November 2012 and picked a physiotherapist by finding the closest one to my home via google. BIG mistake. My family doctor was fine with this choice at first but after 4-5 months of considerable pain and slow results, my doctor insisted that I see Dr. Waymen Wong at Burquitlam Physio. I was apprehensive at first because the appointments are only 30 minutes long and a little more expensive ($5 per session, ICBC covers it all eventually anyways). But right away I noticed big improvements in the quality of care. 1st off, Dr. Wong spends the whole 30 minute appointment WITH you. He doesn't stack appointments, hook you up to a machine and go on to another patient. He did manual manipulation of my back each and every time; listened to and addressed all my complaints and answered my numerous questions. I found it especially helpful when he showed me a model of the human spine and what position my back had shifted to. If your physiotherapist just hooks up some vibrating suction cups to your back and leaves you there for 20 minutes and comes back to take them off, go see Dr. Wong at Burquitlam. I think the fact that they have a Doctor of Physiotherapy leading their team makes dealings with ICBC seem to go much smoother. Dr. Wong wrote a couple detailed letters that were helpful with getting ICBC to pay for expenses and with my employer when asking to work from home. Their centre in Burquitlam is really big and rooms are private. This is important if you want more than a curtain separating you from the patient that's groaning in pain next door. Burquitlam is a bit out of my way but has been well worth it. oh... Marianne, the resident Massage Therapist, is great at what she does too! My hat's off to the Burquitlam Physiotherapy Team. It's been 3 months but I'm well on my way to recovery because of them.
