Fantastic experience: Went there with neck pain for nearly 4 months. Was told I have arthritis and would have to live with it by my family doctor and wanted a second opinion. Here I was evaluated and offered an alternative that included a possible cure. Currently in treatment for another 5 weeks but showing improvement already. So grateful for having this opportunity. Will write again when treatments completed.

Fantastic experience: I continue to rate with 5 stars: After numerous massage treatments during the last 4 years, my first time introduction to chiropractic treatment this past year and most recently physio has been added to my recovery program with significant results. Communication, knowledge, skill, individualized treatment, comfort, and trust are key to may satisfaction with the services provided. I would recommend any of their team for your individual care needs for massage, chiro and physio. They listen well and offer exercise instruction beyond the visit. This is an aligned team from front door reception to treatment in a one stop shop with a connection to a radiology clinic in the same building for fast result x-ray an other imaging needs.

Fantastic experience: If you have spinal compression issues THIS is the chiro to see first. Spent almost 5 years in moderate to severe daily pain. Family doc and many specialists slow rolled MRIs and scans, suggesting everything as a cause except the actual one. Finally saw Dr. Oliphant who recommended an MRI out-of-pocket - BEST money I’ve ever spent (until the treatment) and I knew the root cause within 48 hours. Nearing the end of my treatment now and I am almost 100% pain-free. Time on the DRX is expensive, but can be life changing. It was for me!!

Fantastic experience: Have had good progress in 5 days from bed ridden could not walk or sleep on back or right side had to use wheelchair. Compressed nerves, disc issues etc. And the non-surgical spinal decompression has been miraculous for me went to physio, chiro with not much help until this treatment. After 2 treatments no wheel chsir i could walk in by myself and have been the rest of the week. Day 5 i had little low back pain and no pain in thigh calf or foot numbness has subsided greatly in my feet. Front counter and Dr Toma are professional friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience: After partner needed urgent care for sudden lower back issues, I called around first thing and thankfully this place had a cancelation was took us in first thing!! We spent the morning there (me waiting around, him receiving treatment) and I was impressed with how friendly the front staff are, how organized they are and how great of a rapport they have with patients who come through the door. They are miracle workers!

Negative experience: I used to go to Dr, Ron Toma before he moved to this location, and I never had a problem with him or his business practices until his new business partner and new front staff at this location. I brought my family of four kids, myself and my partner to Dr. Ron after we were in a MVA, Issue one. Dr. Ron Toma was not very receptive or adaptive to different ways of treatment when told that something felt uncomfortable or unaffected. Issue two one of the receptionists was unbearable to deal with, she always got our appointments mixed up. Where as the other receptionist was flawless when it came to scheduling, always managed to get all of us as a big group in at the same time. Issue three, after the third time that the bad receptionist caused a situation where I had to drive to the SW for the appointment from the NE only to get there and be told we didn't have an appointment that day yet it was booked with us and even insurance has record these appointments were supposed to take place. When these issues were brought up, Dr. Ron Toma and his business partner took the side of the inadequate receptionist. I lost a friend and faith in medical authority that day.

Fantastic experience: I sure wish I had found this place earlier in my career. The therapy treatments, professionalism and staff are all amazing. The added plus is it is just a short walk from the train station. So I book my appointments for the end of the day and it is super convenient to get in and out during my regular commute .

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful staff. They greet you by name when you come in the door and I've never waited longer than 5 minutes to see the doctor.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this clinic for years. They will always prioritize your health. In an emergency they will get me in to see a doctor within the hour. If there is an issue in which they believe an X-ray is needed, they won’t hesitate to send you. I love the environment and the due diligence they take to ensure I am healthy and safe.

Fantastic experience: 30yrs post accident, I was once again experiencing chronic back spasms. I was unable to even properly walk at times. Ron Toma introduced me to a new style of treatment and over the next 6wks we worked on correcting the main issue, then strengthening to protect what had healed. I am now pain free and am able to do all the sports I want without fear of injury. I am so relieved to have found a way to treat this lifelong issue. Thank-you Ron and team!!

Fantastic experience: I received massage therapy treatment from Colin. He was very thorough and effective at loosening up tight muscles in my upper back, shoulders and calves. He was knowledgeable about the different muscles and easily pinpointed and addressed several problem areas. You can tell that Colin has a real passion for working with his clients to educate them on the root cause of their problems and give tools to improve them over time. He provided me with various take home exercises and practical recommendations on how to apply them in my everyday life. Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with Shea, my massage therapist. She worked so carefully and skillfully on my left shoulder blade and neck muscles, where I had a lot of stiffness and tenderness. I could feel her attention to detail in every movement — not too light, not too harsh — just the perfect balance. After the session, I felt such a big difference. The stiffness was completely gone, and I could move my shoulder and neck much more freely than before. Shea is professional, kind, and clearly knows what she’s doing. Highly recommend her to anyone dealing with muscle tension or pain!

Fantastic experience: I was introduced to Dr.Toma five years ago at a market of some sort. I’ve seen other chiropractors since but after realizing I need to go again, I went back to Dr.Toma. He’s very personable, kind, and polite. His staff are also very friendly. Everyone makes me feel quite comfortable even if the visit is short. I would highly recommend !!

Negative experience: My initial appointment went well - was sent for x-rays. I arrived at my follow up appointment & sat in the waiting room for over 30 minutes with no explanation or apology from reception. Once in the appointment, again no apology from the doctor, rather pressure for a private MRI - which I can only assume the office receives a referral bonus. I’m certain that quick judgement was from the residual annoyance from the disrespect of my time - but in the end I won’t be returning…

Negative experience: They only care about your money. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was getting “treatment” for a sciatic injury which only turned out to be a 5 minute “back adjustment” even though I was paying for a full half hour. I originally booked in for a spinal decompression as this office offered it but was told because I could only come in once a week that it wouldn’t be affective. I felt no change in pain with back adjustments. I have since changed chiropractic offices and feel much better with the proper treatment and with a Dr that actually cares about their patients, not money hungry.

Fantastic experience: I visited over a year ago (kind of strange optimum is requesting a review of this location now) when the location I usually visit was booked up and I had back pain that was suddenly getting in the way of work. The chiropractor I saw was very patient to listen and took his time to work out what I had needed without added discomfort. I asked what kind of home work I could do for this (since it was unique to me) and he gave me a small book of exercises that related to that area and specified a few that he considered most related. Don't remember details or how quickly I recovered, but the closer location has been great since then.

Fantastic experience: Excellent services, starting with front desk friendly stuff to specialists providing different treatments. I’d like to acknowledge Colin, one of the massage therapists. Based on my experience, I have to say he is one of the best ones. Very knowledgeable about the functions of the body, he can point out exactly the area of concern, work on it using his “magic” until it is gone. Very intuitive to the appropriate amount of pressure, which is very important as I am in recovery after the spinal surgery. I am very impressed with his skills and professional friendly nature.

Dr. Oliphant has been my primary chiropractor and has done wonders for my back and migraines. I’ve also seen other chiropractors here when he’s away, and every one of them has been excellent. I love that I can also get massage therapy at the same location—it’s so convenient and makes a big difference in my overall wellness. Fantastic experience: I first came to the Centre last fall for spinal decompression therapy after struggling with severe sciatica caused by herniated discs. My condition was quite serious, so I completed the full 20-session treatment plan. By the end, I’d say I had regained about 95% of my mobility. Unfortunately, I aggravated my back again not long after during a round of golf, so I’ve returned for another round of treatments. I'm currently on treatment 9, and I'm already noticing a significant improvement. The team here is awesome, so would highly recommend to anyone dealing with similar back issues. This review is specifically for spinal decompression. While it certainly helped me, we’re all different and what works for be won’t necessarily work for someone else. That said, you won’t know until you try.

Fantastic experience: I've been to more than my fair share of chiropractors over the years and I have to say I was more informed by Dr Ron Toma in just a few sessions than I have been in all the years of going to other chiropractors. I could barely walk 10ft without extreme pain in my lower back and leg on my first visit, and within a few sessions I was back on the road to recovery. A physical injury is hard enough to deal with but the mental aspect can be just as crippling so I can't say enough about Alyssa, Andie, and Zrinka ( and of course her delicious cookies! - Hard to take just 1! ) They all made me feel very welcome and a priority on every visit and it makes a difference! Very highly recommended in every aspect of treatment , knowledge, and professionalism! 5 stars doesn't say enough!

Fantastic experience: I had major back and hip issues prior to therapy. Dr Oliphant assessed and diagnosed me and recommended the full amount of sessions in the back extension machine. I went from having severe back issues impeding my running and fitness and mobility to full range of motion. I am now getting treated for two seperate injuries and know that shock wave will help me heal. I was guarded on the out of pocket cost that exceeded my medical benefits plan. But as one of my own clients reminded me, its an investment in my health which will garner more dividends than anything else. I highly recommend going in for an assessment. The office is easy to book in with, free parking and both chiropractors are very compassionate and have the right bed side manner to be healing people.

Fantastic experience: I was in bad shape when I decided to check out Alberta Back & Neck. Dr Toma had me X-rayed and set up for adjustments on that first visit. Slowly and with the use of the MedX machine, I am back to regular mobility. Having to travel into the city for treatment, the staff were very flexible and accommodating to both my time constraints and my initial mobility constraints. If you have back pain, you need to go here!

Fantastic experience: In truth and In short (don't worry...long version below)...I went from not being able to stand or even walk for more than 2 minutes due to debilitating lower back pain (yes...2 minutes, and usually less)...and facing Cortisone shots (and the ever diminishing returns those provide)....to a New Home Sales Manager and a Realtor where I spend a great deal of time on my feet. With NO surgery required. NO medications required. And, until I need a tune up, (once or twice a year, sometimes less frequently) I am seriously PAIN FREE! The only thing I am required to do is to simply take a nap (seriously) on the machine for 20 minutes every once in a while and let the machine do it's work. And Shazaam (do people say that any more) off I go well rested and good for another year or two or more...! In long...(if you've made it this far, you may just be like me (sorry) and have suffered with long term back pain and a healthy skepticism that there is little that can be done)... 20 years ago my back was soooo bad that one time while I was camping with my 72 year old Father at Takkakaw Falls, we decided to climb up to the tree line. Mistake! HE had to wait many many times for ME, his 40 year old son (who was otherwise in good shape), to catch up. Yes he was in good shape...but seriously!?! My back was shot. The result of almost 15 years in warehousing and choosing speed over back safety. The repetitive strain did me in. I was too young for that. Up to that point I had taken countless hours of physio and chiropractic treatments (breaking one machine in the process as my back was so seized up)...at best I got very short term relief. The next option I was given...the shots... Too young for that as well. I needed a better way. Then I found Dr. Oliphant and the Great Team at Alberta Back & Neck rehab...(I know, sounds like a pre-written script. You should be so lucky. This is ALL me!).... Now..2 kids and a very successful career later...I'm over 60 and going strong. I think I average 1 and sometimes 2 back stretching sessions a year, when I've been miss-behaving (I don't baby it, though I am a little smarter about it ), to stay pain free. The effectiveness of Cortisone injections would be long gone, and surgery would have been done by now (unless I was still on an infernal waiting list)...with the risks that entails. The risk being the surgery, not the waiting...though that causes mental health issues...a discussion for another day. As for my recent neck issue...which by the scans is in even worse shape then my back...triggered by a water incident on vacation in Kelowna during COVID (Daddy let's go on that bouncy thing in the water...). I could not turn my head. In truth, it did take a fair number of treatments to get me pain free. But I have not needed ANY treatments since then. 4 years and counting! It is not a stretch to say they gave me a LIFE I never would have had. I know I am in and out of there fairly quickly with little time for chat...and have never really said so...but from my Heart...Thx Team! Brydon

Fantastic experience: My Physiotherapist, Ms. Bita Vaseghi is really really good in doing my treatments. She is very accommodating, professional and has a full knowledge in her profession. She was able to dial down my pain from 10 to 2 in just three sessions. The other staffs in the front desk are also very professional and easy to deal with, always ready to help you out specially when you are running late with the appointment. I Highly recommend this location for anyone seeking for a long term relief from their aches and pains.
