He no longer accepts new patients, so I feel very fortunate to be under his care. His team is also excellent — everyone is skilled, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. It can be hard to get an appointment because they’re in high demand, but it’s absolutely worth it. They have two locations, one in Vancouver and one in Metrotown, and both provide consistently great service.

Expérience fantastique: If you are having chronic back pain, i highly recommend seeing Dr. Chan. I was in very bad shape suffering from a work related injury to my lower back. I was worried that i’d have to change professions. Dr. Chan took the time to figure out what was wrong and explain it to me. He then made adjustments over 5 visits, and gave me exercises to speed my recovery. I’m well on my way to feeling normal again. A fantastic experience!

In 4 sessions over 2 months (sticking rigidly to the exercises he told me to do between sessions) I am now almost back to full fitness (circuits, running, swimming , basketball etc.). 5 stars for sure!

I saw Dr. Dominic Chan for a feeling of imbalance and longstanding tension on one side (knee pain, lower back pain, hip pain, neck pain). Massage and acupuncture did not bring relief and I was afraid the pain would become permanent. Dr. Chan is non-judgmental, a good and respectful listener, and a sensible specialist. After his thorough assessment and recommendation, he gave an effective remedy that made me feel ‘unkinked’ and made me breathe easier. What a miracle! At the first visit! He recommended exercises that are helpful and reasonable/doable. I look forward to seeing him again for follow up and future ‘maintenance’. No more hesitation here. I recommend him highly.

Called and asked a simple question over three times, the lady on the phone had an attitude, kept interrupting me and raising her voice while I was trying to explain what I needed to know, and tried to gaslight me into telling me what I was trying to ask instead of what I was actually asking and eventually hung up on me!:D If this is how you treat your potential customers, no thank you! I will find a more compassionate and humane place! UPDATE to the response: That is just so not true. I hope you record your phone calls for the QA and take a minute to listen to the conversation. All I asked was can I find out if you directly bill to my insurance company, and the lady couldn’t answer the question after multiple attempts of me trying to explain it, I even read her the website (the exact sentence you quoted) to explain that I just need to know if you bill to my insurance as it is not listed there. She first was telling me that I need to make an appointment, and when I repeatedly explained that I need to first know if I would be reimbursed, she then kept telling me to call my insurance to which I replied many times that I know my policy and that is not what I am asking about. At no point I called her a liar. What happened was she actually called me a liar rudely accusing me of changing my question which was ridiculous as I called for one question only and it was to find out if my insurance was on your list. I am very well aware of the question I needed the answer to. I even apologised to her if she misunderstood my question and tried explaining it again. The disrespect I was treated with was not on par with quality of small businesses in Vancouver. I saw all the good reviews, and that is why I called, I believe you provide good treatment for people, however, I will not be able to find that out due to the way I was treated by the front desk. And yes, the only reason I decided to write a review was because I don’t think it’s okay to insult someone who’s trying to get some help. Thank you and wish you good luck as well.

What I really appreciate is that he’s not just doing the same thing during each visit, but instead is often doing something new and different to address either new issues or the same issues. It’s been progressing rather nicely. I’ve been to many chiropractors over the years, and I feel like they just want you in and out as quickly as possible, they perform the same treatment every time and they don’t say much. He took the time to thoroughly understand my rair spine condition which effects by back, hips, shoulders and neck. He always adjusts all of these areas, (not just my neck like other places), and it's never a painful, violent experience, (like other places). He also gives me advice and exercises so that I can prevent future issues. I always feel like a new person after an appointment with him and like he fixed everything I that could feel was out of wack.

Their locations (Vancouver and Burnaby) are both convenient and accessible through public transportation. Their rates are also very affordable (especially if you have extended health benefits) and you’ll definitely have the high quality service you deserve, without having to pay more. Everyone from this clinic, from receptionists to therapists are welcoming, friendly and always ready to help you alleviate your physical discomfort. Based on my experience with them, I highly recommend the following: RMT: Brian Pahl really delivers great massage therapy and has very consistent deep pressure on areas that his patients feel the most discomfort. He also adjusts based on his patient’s preference, and he has a depth of experience that speaks for how good he is. Garrick Ma from Burnaby clinic is also good. Acupuncture: Iting Huang may be a relatively new acupuncturist, but his technique and level of patient care is absolutely incredible. His pressure is consistent too and the treatment routine is very relaxing.

Expérience fantastique: Just wanted to share my recent experience with Dr. Chan. I had right hip procedures back in 2021, and lately, my left hip has been giving me some trouble. After enduring discomfort for a while, I decided to see my chiropractor. Dr. Chan quickly identified that my left hip was out of alignment. With his expertise, he made some adjustments, and the relief was almost immediate. It's incredible how quickly he was able to shift it back to center and restore balance. Expérience fantastique: Today was my first visit at Peakform Wellness, and the overall experience was super great. I came in to see Dr. ALEXANDER LEE for shoulder pain. Usually I get super nervous meeting a care provider for the first time, but the moment I stepped into his clinic, Dr. Alex made me feel at ease. He's very friendly, warm and personable. He listened to my concerns. I mentioned I will be going on a trip in a few days, for 5 weeks. He gave me an assurance to fix my shoulder pain issue. From the assessment down to treatment, he explained to me everything I needed to know and told me what he was doing. He has this positive aura. Definitely will be my new go-to chiropractor. And I have to mention SIMONE in reception. Super nice and friendly. She made me feel welcome. We chatted for a little bit while waiting for my appointment, she even offered if I needed a drink. The clinic is clean and well laid-out. I highly, highly recommend Peakform Wellness. UPDATE: Today is the day after my first visit and treatment with Dr. Alexander Lee. My shoulder is so so much better, I can now move my shoulder and arm. True to his words, he did fix my shoulder pain. Thank you, Dr Alexander.

Dr Chan is not just an astounding chiropractor but he’s one of the best doctors I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. I came into get my back looked at after I severely sprained my lower lumbar and bulged two of my discs at work. Prior to this visit I had weeks of dealing with different doctors too rushed to explain the next steps or give me options to better help me understand my limitations at work and the gym. Dr Chan took the time to explain all of that which is rare these days. He also immediately noticed my crooked posture and was able to realign my hips so I was walking straighter in the very first visit. Expérience fantastique: I needed to get into somewhere quick and luckily Alex had time, it was my first time visiting Peakform Wellness and honestly I will be my new Chiropractor going forward! Alex listened to all my concerns and explained all his techniques as we went through treatment which was very reassuring. Using a massage gun to release tightness first and then manual manipulation. He was super friendly and I instantly felt better! Sometimes you can be a bit sore following day after treatment, but this time I just felt completely fixed!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve known Dr. Dominic Chan since 2014 when I had a very serious back injury which prevented me from breathing well. I have always remembered how Dr. Chan was and is a very gentle, calm and highly intuitive healer who tremendously helped me back then so I could return to work. Presently, I’ve been dealing with sciatica and a lower back injury. Once again Dr. Chan has given me the relief I needed. I couldn’t roll out of bed or bend but after 3 treatments I was able to stand and walk well again. I highly recommend Dr. Chan for his many years of experience and his love and care for his patients. Expérience fantastique: I have been a client of Dr. Chan for about 10 years, visiting his clinic once or twice a year for various reasons. Last week I had an emergency, I had fell on the ground and hit my tailbone, the pain was not going away. When I called the receptionist and she heard it was an accident, she checked with Dr. Chan to see if he could get me in the following days. She called me back as Dr. Chan had added me to his already fully booked Saturday agenda. The wellbeing of his patients come first, and it was during that urgent visit to his clinic that I fully appreciated being his client.

Expérience fantastique: I chose to go see Dr Mackintosh after dealing with chronic tendinitis for years and going to different physios, naturopaths, and other chiropractors and rmt's and not finding any successful, lasting relief from the pain. I appreciate Dr Mackintosh's attention when I described the pain I felt, where I felt it and his dedication to finding the origin of the problem for long lasting solution. I saw immediate progress in the few months I saw him than the 6/7 years I had gone through before. He made me comfortable and encouraged asking him questions and wanting to understand his approach. His style of communication really suited me and I would recommend him to anyone who values a more open, transparent type of exchange with health professionals.

He took his time listening to me and explained very patiently what was my problem and patiently answered all my questions. I never felt rushed or pressured. I highly recommend him. My only concern is if he gets too popular, I may have trouble booking a future appointment in a timely manner! I want to add that Simone, the receptionist, was also great. Often when you visit a Dr.'s office, the receptionist never greet or talk to you. Simone was different. She welcomed me and asked me if I had trouble finding the place. Wanted to know if I need to use the restroom before my appointment, if I had any questions, etc. etc. I don't think I've ever been treated like this in any other office before!

Expérience fantastique: I recently started seeing Dr. Dominic Chan (~5 sessions so far) for a very tight neck and upper back muscles causing me discomfort from long term sport injuries. Not only has he devised a superb regiment for me with daily stretches, alleviated the pain and discomfort, but has taken the time to get to know me as a person and develop a relationship with me. I look forward to every visit with him as I feel brand new after his adjustments. 5 stars all around for Dr. Chan and his practice Peakform Wellness. He's good at figuring out which muscles need work and explaining and showing to me how to do preventative maintenance for myself. Our goal is to keep visits at the minimum, and everything is done at my pace. Highly recommended!
