Expérience fantastique: I highly recommend In Touch Chiropractic. Dr Roy is compassionate and understanding, and has a very high degree of understanding body mechanics, and explaining it. I've been living with chronic pain in my hip for over 2 years, and more recently, lower back pain. Because of that, I had been unable to maintain regular exercise without painkillers. Since starting treatment with Dr Roy in January of this year, I am now able to exercise regularly, maintain a walking schedule of 3-4 km a day, all without painkillers, and have an added bonus of dropping 10 pounds! I've also had a great adjustment from Dr Meagan. The office personnel do a great job of accommodating varying work schedules. I would definitely recommend.

We have a 10-month-old, so we’ve been late to appointments multiple times or needed to reschedule dates, and they have always been so flexible and understanding with us. It takes so much stress off our shoulders. My wife and I have both been undergoing treatment here. My wife was suffering from severe back pain that was leading to headaches. I came with back pains and obvious bad posture mainly due to my scoliosis. After more than 2 months, I have noticed improvement of my back pain and posture, as well as, improved mood. It has severely affected my daily life and mental health but im happier and getting better now after 3 weeks of treatment and more Tried physio and they said it was only a temporary injury. It affected my whole spine column, right from my shoulder and neck down to my lower back and tailbone. while I have been doing my own exercises, running stretching but the change was minimal. when I visited here, each session was like moving a mountain! after each session it was like a landslide, my body was reshaping entirely and getting relief very drastically. Although an intense treatment plan was required from me he assured me that this was the path that I needed to get me to a healthy end goal where my body/my spinal alignment would instinctively know where it needs to be.  He showed me a graph that he uses and has found to be ideal when followed for the best outcome and that is what I've done.  Currently, I've seen Dr. Roy 3 times a week for the last month and my progress is right on track according to his treatment plan, I'm now down to twice a week.  My pain has lessened, my mobility has increased without pain, I don't feel 100% at this point, but I'm on my way. I will continue with treatments and the recommended treatment plan and then Dr. Roy will reassess after the next month to see where we're at. I feel very optimistic that he will get me to where I'll need to be as quickly as my body allows.  I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Roy to others and I already have.

Expérience négative: UPDATES GIVEN AT BOTTOM October 8th, 2023: I am new to the chiropractic world so here is my current review of Dr.Ahren Roy at InTouch Chiropractic. My experience was positive to start and then it quickly became apparent what a scam his office is. He is compassionate and kind. He actively listens and has a very calm energy about him. He diagnosed that I have scoliosis with a examination and x-rays. Every detail of your medical history is taken in and taken seriously. However, I made an appointment for the InTouch new patient free consultation and at the end of the appointment $250 was out of my pocket. What. The. Hell. What exactly was free??? I also didn't realize that adjustment appointments at InTouch were only a few seconds long (a minute tops). No exaggeration. You very quickly say hi to him, he adjusts your neck and back and then he walks to the next patient. $60 for a 1 minute long appointment, and he wants me in 2-3 times per week! According to the College of Chiropractors of British Columbia, they state that adjustment treatments should be AT LEAST 15 minutes long. Dr.Roy's treatments, in my personal experience, have never been longer than 1 minute (I've been timing the visits), which leads me to feeling extremely ripped off. His way seems impersonal and very much like a conveyor belt. Not to mention the layout of his office is a bit out of the norm (for me). You come into an open room with a receptionist on one side and on the other side are 2 tables for patients to lie on. Surrounding the tables are chairs for patients to wait their turn. However, there are no dividers, no walls, no doors. There is no privacy. The space isn't big enough for privacy. Patients waiting for their turn are RIGHT there and can just watch you get adjusted. Hell, they can actually lean in and chat with you while Dr.Ahren is adjusting your joints if they wanted to. It has a animal-in-a-zoo-being-watched vibe that I don't think I am comfortable with. My first 2 visits were done privately in a separate room (with a door) and I assumed that all appointments would be done the same. I also had one visit with their kinseologist. She very, very, very quickly went over the 17 movements that I would need to do, printed them out, handed them over to me, and in total THAT session lasted 5 minutes. While Dr.Roy has won a couple of awards for his work, and I am sure he has helped some, I will be getting a referral from my GP to a orthodic specialist instead. I feel like I am NOT getting my $60 worth during each visit. Because really, is 45 seconds worth $60? UPDATES: June 17th, 2024 I have since seen a physiatrist (physical health specialist) at The New Westminster Rehabilitation Centre, who took x-rays and decreed the advice and analysis given by InTouch to be exaggerated, inflated, and that I should simply get physio 3-4 times total for specific area strengthening (for me, my core) so as to be shown exercises to do on a regular basis from home. No brace will be needed, no surgery required, and no need to see a chiropractor x3 per week ($60 per visit don't forget!). Dr. Roy wanted me in weekly for up to a year! Calculate all the money he wanted me to spend at his clinic! Outrageous! I think the advice given to me from The New Westminster Rehabilitation Centre was much more reasonable and trustworthy. I highly suggest you put in a referral to them, they are amazing!!

As a busy parent, I know that no matter what kind of day I am having prior to arriving for my appointments, I can rely on the welcoming atmosphere and warm service of this clinic. After the positive experience of creating a plan for my own post-partum recovery, I decided to bring my 17th month old to Dr. Ahren for adjustments related to his delivery. My baby boy genuinely enjoys visiting the clinic because of its thoughtful children’s toy zone, approachable staff and Dr.Ahren’s gentle approach. Recently my husband was in a motor vehicle accident and I booked him an appointment at In Touch without hesitation. My family’s health and well-being are one of my top priorities and I feel confident in my decision to bring my loved ones to Dr. Ahren and his caring team.

Expérience négative: I went in for chronic upper back pain/clicking in my shoulder blade. I am a student and was paying out of pocket, which I wrote in my intake form. On my first appointment Dr. Roy somehow convinced me to pay an extra $150 dollars in addition to the $100 exam fee for an in-office x-ray. He looked at my back for less than 5 minutes and didn’t do a single adjustment or offer any advice/insight into what was going on. Afterwards I got sales-y messages from his receptionists to book another appointment for weeks but didn’t hear anything about the results of my x-ray. I left feeling really taken advantage of and embarrassed with myself for falling for what felt like a scam.

I was seeing another chiropractor for over a year and despite following all that chiropractor's instructions and advice, my spine wasn't improving and it eventually resulted in chronic pain. He used diagnostic tools to show me the current state of my spine and created a plan to heal my spine.
