Negative experience: Threw my back out and went to this chiropractor. She urged me to stay off work and go into see her everyday while actively doing nothing for my back for two months. It was not until I consulted other doctors, physiotherapist and chiropractors who informed me it was not normal to see a chiropractor that much, no matter the issue. She also always made me pay first as she claimed chiropractors cannot do insurance claims and that I have to reimburse it myself which since being at my new chiropractor, I know is not true. She was also continuously pushing orthotics even when I told her I was having financial issues. (I was paying 70+ bucks everyday for two months, no wonder) The whole thing seemedy like a money grab with little to no benefits. Would highly recommend looking elsewhere for chiropractic care!

I was worried at first because I've had a bad experience with a chiro before just feeling more pain afterwards but she certainly knows how to properly assess the situation and get at it properly. Would certainly recommend for anyone in need of readjusting.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this Chiropractor for 23yrs with the majority just being monthly maintenence. It's a very friendly and informative family practice. I strongly suggest listening to Dr Michelle's very informative hints at stretching practices, and getting orthotics which helped me immensely. It helped with my balance as i got older with my lower back disc degeneration and hip displacement- i strongly recommend monthly visits!

Fantastic experience: Dr Ellis is wonderful person, understand the pain language very well. When I walked in she did all the paperwork quick as possible. Appointment ara always she workaround my time. After 3 visits I can feel better . She remembers everyone name so is their pain. The 20 minutes I always looking forward this place make me better all-day comfort.

Negative experience: This felt like a total scam. She scared me by making the issue seem serious, then said she knew how to fix it and had many patients with the same problem. She repeatedly insisted that I return for more appointments, but I felt I was being charged too much without receiving meaningful help. Based on my experience, it seemed like the focus was more on making money than on patient care.

Negative experience: I wish I could give them negative stars. This was a total scam. She charged me $160 for essentially nothing, and the appointment only lasted 15 minutes. I would advise going somewhere else, since she seems focused on getting as much money as possible from insurance. I honestly wonder whether she bought her degree from a fake university.

Positive experience: I didn’t realize that I have a foot problem until I see a hammer toe on my foot. Good that I went to see my doctor and noted that I have foot problems. Hope Dr Ellis will help with my foot pain.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr. Michelle since I was a child for regular adjustments. Even now continuing the maintenance. It's been a great experience for the 20+ years and my various needs over that time. Especially the extra care she took after I was in a car accident 5 years ago. Additionally, recently my 95 year old Grandma has been in need of specific care. It's her first time having sciatica and really needed attention in her lower back (buttocks) region. Dr. Michelle was pivotal in helping her get the treatment she needed as well as recommending icing and putting heat (depending on need) in order to help her heal as quickly as possible. Very thankful for her quick management of the sciatica and now my grandma is doing great and no longer in pain. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Sandalwood Chiropractic for about 6 weeks now to receive treatment for issues related to my scoliosis. I am very happy with the improvements and will continue to come for treatment and do the stretches the doctor has recommended I do. The doctor also checked my feet and recommended custom orthotics for my flat feet. What a difference I noticed in my left knee, which had a nagging twinge for about 4 years. Thank you Dr Michelle for getting at the root of the nagging, low level aches, I had been experiencing for about 4 years. I am over sixty years of age and have used Chiropractors since my twenties. Sometimes a problem can be fixed in a few visits, sometimes like what I have experienced over the past 4 years, can take many chiropractic treatments (and maybe even a second opinion from another chiropractor- the body is so complex and amazing).

The best time to reach out for any pain or discomfort is as soon as possible, and I can’t believe I hadn’t come in sooner! I had reached out to Sandalwood Chiropractic as a walk-in patient following a week of lower back pain that I had hoped would correct itself on its own. My initial meeting had identified curvature in my spine, an anterior tilt in my hips and lateral tilt in my feet. I was prescribed treatment on the spot. After identifying my areas of concern, I then recieved treatment that was quick, effective and pain-free. I had received immediate relief in my back pain, as well as visible adjustment in my posture and stance. I knew that I was going to be in great hands! With each following appointment, I was brought immense relief and correction in my back that was noticeable from the way I slept to the way I move. My back pain had disappeared, my posture had improved and the tilt in my hips had nearly vanished overnight all thanks to their treatment! Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr Michelle Ellis (and Dr Jack) for a few years. Visits are extremely helpful. Now I am still seeing her for chiropractic treatments on a maintenance program. I find it very important to keep the maintenence up because after snow shoveling or gardening etc, I am not as sore as I could be. Maintenance treatments go a long way to help maintain the health of my back, hips, neck and shoulders in better condition.

Fantastic experience: Five stars! I can"t say enough good things about this clinic and Dr. Michele Ellis in particular! I am very grateful for the fantastic care she has given me over a number of years. She always makes me feel that she really cares about me. She helped me through an extremely painful herniated disc, a frozen shoulder and most recently ...3 painful shoulder tears. When I first went to her with the herniated disc, I could hardly walk I was in so much pain. I couldn't even go to a play we really wanted to see because I couldn't stand any length of time or walk from the parking lot because there was nowhere to sit along the way. My husband always says that she gave him his wife back because after completing the treatments and with a bit of maintenance, I now have no pain and we can do all the things we love again. We even regularly go for long hikes and walks for pleasure. As an update, I recently went through a very stressful period of loss and grieving which caused severe upper back pains and spasms. With Dr. Michelle’s treatments, I was able to do all the things I needed to do and quickly found complete relief from the spasms and pain.

Michelle fixed it amazingly, I still come from time to time just to keep everything straight or if I have back issues and it's incredible the difference it makes. She instantly knows where the pain is and is a miracle worker!

Fantastic experience: I have just been see Dr.Ellis in the last three weeks. The pain in my foot was unbearable. She has worked intensely on my foot and to be honest it hasn't been pleasant, but with each visit the pain is a little less and my mobility improving. Who knew Chiropractors focused on feet as well. I took a chance when learning that Chiropractors are the ones who measure and prepare your feet for Orthotics. I haven't received them yet, but I'll post again once iv get them and use them a bit. Update: I've been seen Dr.Ellis for almost 3 years. I have much improved with a bit of a set back last summer. My feet are doing well with my mobility increasing and being able to walk a lot more. I'm thankful to God and to Dr.Ellis for my improvement. She'll treat you well, if you are hesitant. If Chiropractic care a try you be glad you did.

The doctor initially advised me to come in for three consecutive days, but I stopped after just one visit because the pain went away. Unfortunately, it came back again later. This time, I followed the advice more closely and visited every other day for a week, and now I feel much better. I would definitely recommend this clinic—just make sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for the best results.

Negative experience: I will keep this very simple on behalf of my mother. Please believe all the 1 star reviews that say this place tries to scam you. Luckily, my mother received her money back but I fear many do not. She was pushed to do orthotics and she waited for weeks. Insurance didn’t cover it because of lack of paper work. After finally raising questions after weeks of not receiving them or the paper work, my mother finally received them but they were not fitted or custom at all. They actually were enormous for her shoe and didn’t fit inside. She instructed my mother to “cut them” herself… clearly if anyone has received custom orthotics they’d know these were fake. I’m glad my mother advocated for herself and she finally got her money back. Please do better with the community you serve. It’s sad you’re putting people through weeks of stress and robbing them of their insurance money for proper orthotics.

My family doctor had originally prescribed very powerful pain killers for my back pain since he could not determine the cause of my pain. After 30 minutes at Sandalwood, the pain was gone. Being a licensed Chiropractor, Dr. Chad is administering treatment by using a unique technique combining manipulation with the soft issues and chiropractic alignment elements. The treatment works and reduces the usage of pain relief medications. Dr. Michelle Ellis is a very detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional. My husband and I came to her with various health issues, starting with the chronic headaches, back pain, Achilles tendinitis, and foot arthritis pain. Michelle helped us to elevate 99.9% of our issues. Michelle is one of the rare cases when the doctor takes your pain very seriously and methodically looks for ways to help you. Negative experience: Beware before visiting this clinic. I had very bad experience in this chiropractor clinic . Very disappointed and felt like she only cares about money & not patients. I went there for neck & back issue. I told the chiropractor that I have private insurance & I’ll pay you & submit my claim personally but still she talked to my insurance spent half an hour to get my orthotics benefit information . Without even checking me, She asked to pay full amount upfront before treatment . I thought that this clinic may have different practices so I paid in full amount She asked me to wait in the room where I was waiting almost 30-35 minutes. She spent barely 5–10 minutes with me first day & next day same & instead of treating me she was insisting me to buy orthotics & said it’ll will reduce my back pain. She almost forced me to buy that & asked me to pay full amount in advance. She told me that I must buy as that’s included in my insurance. I fall in trap as I was in pain & I paid in full upfront for orthotics. Also, Instead of focusing on treatment, she kept pushing for more and more visits repeatedly which was very unprofessional. She kept calling again & again to book appointment even on weekends. During my session she was constantly talking on phone calls. Attended other patient & asked her to wait in other room. Later that lady also got upset with her & left without treatment. After getting the very expensive orthotics which was custom made taking impressions of my feet was exactly same as the one I bought from Amazon for $15 only. This is just taking advantage of patient’s health & grabbing money.

Negative experience: Beware before visiting this clinic. My experience was extremely disappointing and felt like a complete money grab. The first visit cost $150 and the second $86, yet the chiropractor spent barely 5–7 minutes with me. During my session she was taking phone calls, which was very unprofessional. Instead of focusing on treatment, she kept pushing for more and more visits and repeatedly asked to see my insurance coverage. It honestly felt like the priority was billing insurance rather than patient care. Patients should be very cautious before coming here. Something about this experience did not feel right at all.

Fantastic experience: CRACK my back?! Are you out of your mind?!!!! :-0 BUT WAIT! I was skeptical for a lot of years (over 20 years) to go to a Chiropractor due to the 'horror' stories I heard from others. But now that I am older and the pain in my lower back got to the point where I tried everything and nothing eased the pain, I thought I would finally give-in and make the appointment. Like anything you do concerning your health, you have to do your homework and I did. I had to see/feel for myself if going to a Chiropractor was for me or not? As they say...better late than never, after my first session my back actually started to feel better!!! I know it's too good to be true and I didn't believe it either until the following days, my back did not hurt as much. I was doing my morning stretches as usual. FEET FIRST!!!!! Your poor feet carry you all day long and they need to be taken care of first! I was fitted for a new pair of orthotics and after 2 days my feet started to feel sooooooo much better!!! I've been wearing custom made orthotics for 20+ years (the hard ones) and this is the first time my feet have felt so good, thanks to Dr. Michelle!!! The lumps in my arches are actually shrinking, I thought I would have them forever. I have flat feet-no arches it has been painful for several years. Do yourself the largest favour and make an appointment before your pain gets worse. From the first visit Dr. Michelle orders a painless x-ray so she can determine the best treatment for YOU!!! There isn't anything to be afraid of, and yes it may not work for you because everyone is different, but you owe it to yourself to at least TRY!!! Dr. Michelle will not hurt you and she will LISTEN to YOU!!! Her genuine and sincere care to relieve your pain is real! I've been going once a week and yes it's a bit costly after the insurance benefits run-out, but you cannot put a price on your wellbeing!!! If you are not healthy now things are probably going to get worse!!! If you don't look after yourself, no one else will. Don't think you have to live with the pain you are feeling now, make the appointment, sit down with Dr. Michelle, be heard and give it a try. She knows exactly what technique works for each sore spot. You have to do your share at home, if Dr. Michelle says ice a certain area you have to do it or you're just wasting your time and money and the doctor's time. Relief is a 2-way street, but the things she suggests really work, so once you feel the results it will become so much easier to ice your sore spot or put heat on it or whatever is suggested for you to do, just do it-LOL Like everything else the pain doesn't go away overnight, you have to do your part. Dr. Michelle isn't a magician, but she's pretty darn close!!! You owe to yourself and your loved ones to make the call. I also sit a lot and my hips have been in pain and she knows just what to do to make my hips and lower back feel better! I don't usually write testimonials, but this is too good not to share, I hope it helps you make that call. Full disclosure I am not getting out of this, I just want to share my excellent experiences with people who are suffering and don't have to. Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience here. On my first visit, I was charged $140 for a session that lasted only about 10–15 minutes. The treatment provided didn’t feel thorough or helpful, and I left without any real improvement or clear plan for my care. For the high fees they charge, I expected much better service and value.She keeps attending phone calls in between. Its just a matter of earning money.I would not recommend this chiropractor based on my experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to sandalwood Chiropractic wellness centre since May 2024 for lower back and shoulder issues. Recently, I developed other side, lower back issue and went to see my doctor. He recommended orthotics, which he said will me with back issues due to my flat feet. He said your feet are the foundation of your body, and they help a line the rest of your body and he recommended orthotics. I’ve gone back to Sandalwood Chiropractic , and requested another set of orthotics for To fit all of my shoes, not just my winter ones. They also realign my back and I feel a lot better already and I No, that wearing orthotics all the time will definitely improve my back issues.

I was walking around with back and neck pain for not only years but everytime I would walk my body would shift to one side but now with the help of dr Ellis and my new orthotics (which isn’t an upsell btw I thought it was just a gimmick and wouldn’t work) but I’m able to walk evenly without my weight shifting and body shifting to one side!

Fantastic experience: I started experiencing back stiffness a few years ago and every now and then would pull a nerve in the back and become immobile. I started seeing another chiropractor and while he helped with immediate pain he didn't really explain why it was happening and if I could avoid it. Since it seemed to be working I started making regular checkups and went there for 18 months but I wasn't feeling much better (in hind sight now). One day the same thing happened again and my upper back became so stiff and pinched that I couldn't do anything and it happened on a day that he was off. That's when I found out Dr Michelle at Sandalwood Chiro. This was 2 years ago and all I can say is I feel much better and I didn't know I could until I switched to seeing Dr Michelle. Not only she helped with immediate pain, she explained things with clarity and helped me understand my body better. Later when I told her about my increasing frequency of headaches and numbness in arms she was able to address it in only 2-3 visits and I haven't had those symptoms in a long time now. Her technique and explanations is what I was missing out on previously and I am glad I found her.

I feel like as a society we are deeply conditioned to think about the different parts of the human body as all being seperate from one another. We so often go from appointment to appointment and specialist specialist trying to understand and heal whatever medical issues we may have. Unfortunately we are often still left in the dark not fully understanding the root cause of whatever issues we may be facing. All of these seperate specialist and looking at each factor as something seperate, when in actuality all of these different ailments are generally connected together and have a root cause. Dr. Michelle Ellis has knowledge and understanding of how the human body is connected and how it works together from head to toe. Since I have been coming to her, my whole body feels much better. She suggested I get insoles to correct some foot issues I have. The insoles as long side her continues chiropractic care has make a world. Of different for the different types of body pain I had been experiencing. It has even helped with my digestion.

Negative experience: BEWARE: This Clinic is a SCAM This clinic uses scare tactics to push their orthotics (foot cushions) rather than properly diagnosing or treating patients. First Visit: I went in for a swollen knee. As soon as I approached the front desk, the lady—who claims to be a chiropractor—immediately told me I needed orthotics without even examining me. After a brief examination, which included some stretches and using a vibration machine on my knee, she charged me $120 and told me to get an X-ray. I decided to return, hoping she would actually address my problem after reviewing the X-ray. Second Visit: Nothing changed. She spent 20 minutes aggressively insisting that I buy their in-house orthotics and only 10 minutes on the same basic “treatment” from my first visit. Again, no real attempt to treat my knee. She charged me another $84. Do not waste your time here! They pressure every patient into buying orthotics instead of actually treating them.

Fantastic experience: My journey with Dr Michelle started over 2 years ago when I was suffering with pain in my knee, I thought I was headed for a knee replacement. However I thought I would try something different before committing to surgery. The first week I went 3 times a week and then twice a week for a month and then once a week until I now go once a month. Although my knee is much better and I am able to walk short distances it is very important for me to continue my treatment with Dr Michelle as maintenance is very important. Therefore I continue to see her once a month, I would certainly recommend Dr Michelle I am a senior senior

Fantastic experience: When I first went here I had not gone anywhere for 10+ years, I was very scared and worried to go at first but once I got here and went through some treatments, I felt so much better after only 5 visits, my back was very sore all the time even walking hurt. Michelle is a very nice lady she's good at helping you feel relaxed and calm very nice place to go for treatment. Would recommend this place to anyone in need.

Fantastic experience: I came in beginning of Dec 2023 with neck stiffness and pinching pain, as well as stiff mid back. I am not very flexible, and have a desk office job. after x-rays, some arthritis in neck and mid back showing. so Dr. Ellis was diligent in getting my neck and back moving. as of Mid Jan 2024, my neck is feeling great, and can move it a lot more, and my back is slowly adjusting and is feeling better. in my situation i know that it wasnt going to be a quick few visits to resolve, and this kind of thing takes time to correct and work through.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Ellis and Chad are amazing! I do a lot of walking and they were able to detect my issue with my flat feet and recommended orthopaedics. Game changer! Chad was able to completely reduce my pelvic and tailbone pain with his treatments and alignments.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Ellis is incredible! My daily headaches are no longer daily and my chronic sinus issues are being resolved. After years of antibiotics, this is truly the only thing that has worked. Dr.Ellis focuses on a whole body and holistic approach- take the steam bath/showers, use the ice and Epsom salts, drink the turmeric and ginger! She opens you up to allow everything else to work!

Fantastic experience: I have a pain in the back and leg from time to time and fortunalely someone advised me to visit Dr. Michelle Ellis for my problem. She puts me back on tracks very quickly when I need her help, even in worst cases I feel well just after two or three treatments. Highly recommend. Using her services for already two years for now. EDIT: read some older negative reviews regarding billing and must say I never had such issues. Chiripractor treatments are flat rate so charging for extra time is just not possible. That should be misunderstanding or posting review to wrong provider. I am happy with Dr. Ellis and sometimes drive 100+ kilometers from remote location to see her while local services are available near by in that area.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Michelle and Dr. Jack after a neck injury from a bad fall in January of 1999. Michelle and Jack clearly explained the course of treatment which I followed generally diligently for the next year. At the end of the year, my neck was better than it had been and they fixed my back such that I no longer had problems caused by the rhomboid spasming. I continued with the Ellis Clinic through four moves (West Dr., John St., Corner office at the Sandalwood Plaza, and their new offices). Their services took me through both pregnancies, and both my kids started seeing the chiropractors at an early age. And as we were on a maintenance program - preventative for the kids - they learned at an early age how to describe what hurt and how it hurt. Once they got older, they made use of other services (massage, orthotics) and called to make their own appointments if something didn't feel right. Dr. Michelle is so familiar, that one look and one touch and she is able to pinpoint our aches and pains (that we have been ignoring) and make them feel better. The staff of the clinic are fair and caring and worth your consideration, if you are looking for chiropractic services.

Service was highly non professional as Dr was constantly busy answering phone calls. Not recommended at all, don't waste your time and money.
