Expérience négative: After seeing that Alexis specialized in MdDs on her website, I booked in to see her and waited over a month, hoping for specialized care beyond basic online resources. While she did a thorough exam to rule out vestibular issues and confirm my Mal de Débarquement Syndrome (MdDS) diagnosis, her treatment guidance was a huge letdown. Instead of an active rehab protocol, she referred me to YouTube videos I’d already seen and told me to just stop focusing on the constant, boat-rocking sensation and, essentially, "move on with my life." When I tried sharing my lived experience, she cut me off and said I "didn't have to argue with her," and my follow-up appointments were cancelled given that she has no available treatment options. As someone who has kept up with all daily activities and completed a thesis while managing these symptoms, having a provider frame my reaction as the cause of phantom motion rather than a natural consequence felt dismissive and unhelpful. To anyone who has experienced these symptoms for a significant period of time, being told your mindset is the problem, feels equivalent to medical gaslighting. Alexis seems to work well for those for standard vestibular issues, but patients with MdDS should look into online optokinetic head-roll protocols on their own or seek out specialists who have the tools and equipment to treat this condition.

Alexis was kind as she explained so thoroughly from what was causing my vertigo and then what she was going to do to fix it. Her movements are gentle and her care for you does not go unnoticed. It only took two appointments and I was done. Run, don't walk (even if it's sideways) to see Alexis. You will not be disappointed.

Expérience fantastique: I found Alexis after two episodes of vertigo that was treated at a different clinic. I was really struggling to get any relief and was suffering for many weeks at a time. I just had my third episode since December 2021 and went Alexis this time and was a very different experience. She was able to quickly identify where the issue was and was able to treat right away. This is the first time I have had my BPPV resolved in a single treatment. I immediately felt some of the fog lift. She is able to explain everything going on and make the treatment as comfortable as possible. Expérience fantastique: what can I say except i wish i had found Alexis (Stride Vestibular Physiotherapy) sooner, I had suffered from the dreaded nauseating spinning a few times in the past but they usually came and went on there own, this last episode lasted 2 months ,it seemed to me it would never go away ,my doctor had given me medication for the nausea, and told me if it dint get better he would send to a physio that deals with vertigo. I never new such a thing existed, after extensive research online, i found Alexis ,I was a bit apprehensive of some of the reviews ( all 5 star ) but i had to try something ,best decision i have made in a long time, she put me at ease right away ,explained everything ,how the eardrum works, what she would be doing to make sure she found out what exactly my issue was, after she did her magic ,explaining everything she was about to do , i was amazed 1st time in a couple of months i wasn't spinning ,this almost brought a tear to my eye, the last couple of nights I have not been afraid to go to bed or lay down for a nap, as anyone with this horrible affection will tell you this is what they dread, if you suffer from this i would not hesitate to give Alexis a call for me 1 treatment was enough ,for others it might be more ,but if this ever comes back i will not hesitate to go see Alexis a.s.a.p. p.s. wish i could give her 10 stars
