Fantastic experience: Greeted at that the counter by warm and friendly staff and was escorted to an exam room immediately. During my examination Mr Jean was very attentive to the all of the information I was providing, asking clarification questions only, as my injury is quite dated. He proposed a treatment plan to address my injury, starting immediately. He demonstrated genuine interest and concern not only in my injury but as well as how he was going to address my treatment. Going into the appointment I must admit I was apprehensive about seeing an Osteopath. I am more of a traditional medicine therapy person and this my first visit to an Osteopath. Fantastic experience: My osteopath treatments with Spencer have improved my overall health. Following my recent osteopathic treatment, I underwent shockwave therapy for chronic tendon pain (in my case, achilles tendon). The sensation during treatment was a bit uncomfortable—like strong pulses or taps—but it was tolerable and brief. Spencer will adjust the intensity based on my feedback during the treatment. After a couple of sessions, I began to notice reduced pain and improved mobility. It’s not an instant fix, but it definitely is helping heal the inflammation. I would recommend a visit with Spencer Jean.

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with back pain for about 6months. Moving to Windsor Essex, I looked for an osteopath and found Spencer Jean. I went in for my initial appointment and he was able to diagnose the issues I was dealing with in no time. He took the time to ask me questions along with assessing my movement, he was able to create a plan. His staff is also very friendly. I’m looking forward to my upcoming treatments.

Fantastic experience: 'Injury' Focus vs 'Full' Focus Treatment I sustained an injury through force, to my shoulder and neck, with significant tears to the muscles at the shoulder joint. Successful surgical re-attachment and physiotherapy supported rehab of the tear, at the shoulder joint. But, I continued to experience worsening tightness/pulling, now through both shoulder 'girdles', front and back, and in through the neck, that failed to rehab through surgery or the physiotherapy. I continued to seek recovery. After reading an article by Dr. Jean I decided to try something different than chiropractics. I've learned that the 'tendons', 'ligaments', 'fascia', 'nerves' that are components of the injured shoulder were also affected by the forceful tear injury, but do not rehab through surgical repair. The body being interconnected, an injury not fully treated can cause compounded effect to the surrounding area, now affecting the opposite side shoulder girdle and neck. Dr. Jean's osteopathy treats the FULL scope of the area affected by the primary injury(tendons, ligaments, fascia of the shoulder girdles/ neck) and not just the primary injury site(shoulder joint). I also developed a 'trigger' finger and expressed to my family Dr. that I would like to try Dr. Jean's 'Shockwave' therapy in lieu of standard cortisone through needle injection. Often new treatment modalities such as Shockwave are overlooked, relying most often on proven standard treatments. Osteopathy was new to me, and I did successfully gain further recovery, and that encouraged me to ask Dr. Jean for Shockwave therapy. Having a patient that received a successful alternative treatment to cortisone shots, my family Dr. could now share with other patients, experiencing trigger finger, a less invasive option to trigger finger treatment. I have been with Dr. Jean approaching 3 years, and I am in 'maintenance' meaning that I now see him every 8-10 weeks, for 'Full' focus osteopathy treatment. With each visit Dr. Jean checks for full alignment of the whole body, not just focusing on the original injury to my shoulder girdle/neck. Luckily, Dr. Jean is young and will be around for my whole retirement! anita P.
