They did my X-ray and after that I went for 2 more seasons and still no assessment or no plan or review on my X-ray. So called and asked for my X-ray so I can show them to my family Doctor. and these people are NOT GIVING ME MY OWN X-ray which I already paid for. In addition to that, even though I have appointment , I had to wait for more that 45 min and the Dr only spent 4min on adjusting. I am not paying for waiting in a crowded room and less than 5min adjustment.

Expérience négative: I went to King’s Town Chiropractic to have my leg assessed after a torn hamstring injury in January. This injury has caused ongoing nerve issues — including loss of feeling in my glute and calf muscle — and was the main reason I sought care. Instead of addressing my leg, the consultation was entirely redirected toward my spine. I was told my back required “serious work” and was pressured to commit to expensive prepaid package plans. Religion and faith were also brought into the sales pitch, which as a religious person myself, I found manipulative and deeply inappropriate in a healthcare setting. For context, my X-rays show: Lumbar curve measured at 44.7° — normal range Thoracic spine — only a mild deviation Cervical spine — some straightening/forward head posture, a common postural issue These are not severe findings and certainly do not justify aggressive or long-term prepaid treatment. What’s more troubling is that I paid $250 for the X-rays and consultation, yet no corrections, no adjustments, and no assessment of my actual hamstring injury were ever performed. There were also no clinical records provided beyond the X-rays themselves. Patients deserve objective, evidence-based care that actually addresses their concerns — not fear-based tactics, sales pressure, or inappropriate religious persuasion. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to be cautious before committing here.

Expérience fantastique: Staff are kind, caring, compassionate, professional and very knowledgeable. They gave me hope and healing with cronic back pain issues i have been dealing with for 23 years. I highly recommend Doctor Cook.

Expérience négative: First off, let me say the lady at the front desk (I forget her name) is an angel. That’s where the good ends. I saw Dr. Donoso, and the first visit was fine. After the visit, they try to coerce you into returning with your spouse to try and rope them in too. They make you watch a 30 min video that preaches that Jesus is all you need, and chiropractors work through him to let your body heal. As an atheist, I was VERY uncomfortable with how preachy it was. When I returned for my follow up, I was quoted FOUR THOUSAND dollars worth of work. I said I would have to check my benefits, to which Dr. Donoso sneered and said “So are you not committed to care?” No, I’m committed to my bank account and making sure I can afford such a ridiculous price. He very abruptly left the room and told me to figure it out and get back to them. It is allllll about money here, not care. It turns out with their billing options it wouldn’t work with my benefits, but I was uncomfortable enough anyway to never return.

Thanks to him I have been migrain free for over a yr now, also I have less back pain better movement and just feel all around better. I initially came in with my right rotary cuff in such a degenerative state that I couldn’t reach around behind me, pick up things, or even use the can opener (yeah, it was that bad). Since regularly attending appointments and getting my spine realigned, no more pinched nerves and the migraines I experienced on a regular basis only come during my menstrual cycle. The pain is gone from the rotary cuff injury and I can lift and turn things with my right hand that I was able to do for almost a year. Not only have I benefited from care at King’s Town Chiropractors, my children have as well. My son has literally stretched in height because of Dr. Donoso realigning his back and my daughter his not experiencing pain in her knee from a previous injury on the playground two years ago. I would highly recommend the Donoso’s practice. They are very caring professionals who want to see you well. My children and I have greatly benefited from their care. I don’t hesitate recommending them when asking about a good chiropractor here in Kingston.

Expérience fantastique: Dr Sheldon Cook has been my Chiropractor since 2007. It all started with a lower back injury that made me completely immobile with a trip to Hawaii looming 2 weeks later. Within 10 days of his treatment/adjustments, my back was fully operational and I joyfully went on holiday. I’ve had other back issues over the years due to sport activities, and every time I am 100% completely happy with Dr Cooks treatments. He has a very happy and positive demeanour and whenever asked, I always refer people to him.

Expérience fantastique: How my life has changed in 4 months is amazing!! Like so many others, most of my life has been filled with chronic back pain. Sitting, standing, walking was unbearable. I had tried every treatment available but nothing truly helped. I must say that I had some relief for a few years with NUCCA chiropractic care. The problem is that there are very few of these doctors in Canada, none in Kingston. We moved here 2 years ago and my pain was debilitating, I felt depressed at the thought of not being able to enjoy life. I watched the disappointment in my young grandsons’ faces as it got more and more difficult for me to do things with them. It broke my heart. I began once again searching for help when I read about Dr Anthony’s practice. Being sceptical I booked an appointment to see him. The best decision I have made in years. He is so calm, reassuring and kind. When I returned to his office to go over the X-rays and what he could offer me, I felt a ray of hope. Then came what others, for some reason, call his “tactics”. I will admit I felt a little pressured at first but I was wrong. He laid it all out in front in front of me, the number of visits required, how often and the cost. All he asked of me was my commitment to attend my appointments and to do my exercises. Paying upfront offered me a significant financial savings. Did I need help, yes. Did I want my health to improve, definitely. Was I able to make the commitment, I honestly had no other place to turn. So yes, yes and yes. The best decision I have made. We should not always focus on the negative side of things. There are so many benefits if you look at the positive side. Instead of seeing him as trying to hustle you, see it for what it is. He is truly wanting to help you. Negativity will leave you with your pain, a place that I definitely do not want to be. My pain is decreasing. I have more mobility. I am able to go for short walks again. I am able to enjoy life more. BUT, the best thing is I am able to do things with my grandsons again. They asked me recently if my back still hurt. I told them that it was feeling better and they were so very happy. They are 4 and 7. I feel a miracle has also taken place. After living 50 years with absolute chronic constipation, my bowels are now working. I cannot express how great this makes me feel. I told my husband it was worth the price just to have this happen. I truly mean that. If you are hesitating to make an appointment, please don’t be. When you walk through those doors you are greeted by the friendliest smiling face, her name is Kelly. Expérience fantastique: A couple years ago I came in as a 35-year-old man on a cane... I'm a retired us Airborne, Air Assualt Infantryman... i was "Light, Heavy, Wheeled, Track, Scout, Rista, Mountain, ect. ect.(all the "jams") -with a decade of service and enough deployments, scars and boo boos to display my career. I had messed up my back so terribly in the process that by the time that I finally caved and fell into line - I limped into this man's office (Dr Sheldon) on my EDC cane (I wasn't even able to put my socks on by myself let alone pick up anything off the ground without full squat holding onto my cane) There were no more long walks on the beach - there were no more even walks through a grocery store to get bread or milk!!! This facility now holds my cane in Dr Sheldon's capable hands and and I'm completely capable enough now (thanks to Dr. Sheldon and his team) to walk uprite with no help now! I don't think that the wait is any kind of a problem considering the amount of care and effort that this man ties to professionalism on an individual basis. If you were to complain about the possible 10 minute wait for what I see as God's work then I would suggest you go pay a premium for somebody who won't care for you as much as this man- who obviously does not do it for the money, he just wants to help people out his kind heart. As for his faculty, Wendy, Ann and Pam- they'll bend over backwards to give you a smile and make you feel warm and welcomed. I've had the most interaction with "Wendy" (who has been there with me from the beginning) and her heart of gold and efforts to try and help in any way are rarely found in a person, let alone in a working atmosphere!!! BUT THE WHOLE TEAM IS LIKE THAT! ive never seen or been in such a loving, kind and accepting environment anywhere Ive been in the world! I feel that I can't convey the proper words adamantly enough to convince or describe what these people have given me as now a 37-year-old man! Expérience négative: This review is not intended to detract from the staff, or the chiropractor, but rather the business practice. There is a concerted, almost uncomfortable emphasis on your "commitment to care". Your second appointment consists of an almost cult-ish group sales pitch - 45 minutes to an hour. Following this, the standard practice seems to be booking at least 5 clients for the same time frame. This results in clients waiting at least an hour beyond their appointed time. If you are a working individual, in pain, with a busy schedule, I would not recommend this practice.

Expérience négative: Feel tricked and scammed... was not told that it would cost $225 for the initial assessment until halfway through it. Then $140 of the assessment fee is x-rays that most benefits won't cover. And when I mentioned I would find it difficult to do 2 visits a week for 3 months due to their hours, my work schedule and home responsibilities the Dr. Pretty much got up and walked out. He wouldn't even discuss price with me if I wasn't able to make the time. I don't doubt that they help some people, but I feel like it's a money grabbing scam, where you either commit to 3 or more months of "treatment" at $350 a month or else they just take your $225 and tell you to get lost!!

Each of the correspondences before we walked in the door has been friendly and welcoming. And that didn’t change after we arrived. The people at reception were extremely friendly. The entire place gave me a nice relaxing vibe. Simon did the intake info for my daughter and I and was fabulous! And Dr Sheldon had such a calming demeanor and was amazing at explaining the process to us. We were both very pleased and will be returning for sure.

Expérience négative: Don't waste your money for this scam!! I did a first assessment with Dr Sheldon, we had a brief chat and x-ray. For the next session we had a group session with other people about spinal injuries and chiropractic care which resulted more like a selling campaign, it would make more sense to have a private chat for longer and discuss individual needs. The private chat after this group session lasted 5 mins and was very rushed, adjustments after lasted 4 mins. Everything is so overwhelming as the clinic is constantly busy and the adjustments are too fast and rushed. Also they proposed me a year plan with adjustments twice a week, which I clearly don't need as another chiropractor only suggested adjustments every month/2 months. I called this practice to explain my experience and asking for a more individualized care (such us longer adjustments less often) and never heard from them, beside their offers emails. I have been to chiropractors before and I think Dr Sheldon is a good practitioner but the way the practice works is wrong, they work on quantity not quality.

Having someone take the time to go over my care plan and show me everything upfront was a great help in deciding how to go forward with my care. You can tell Dr. Cook cares about what he does which is an amazing quality to find these days. Dr. Cooks has a very calm demeanor which helps someone like me who suffers from anxiety to feel comfortable and cared for. I'm glad that I saw a new patient post on Facebook and decided to give it a try. Best thing I could have done for myself. One last thing, Anne's awesome and greets everyone warmly. She is even kind enough to ask about my photography and look at my pictures each time I come in. All in all a great place to go.

His ingenious treatment to rectifying the results of a unforgiving motorcycle accident has significantly improved my pain & posture in a short period of time. The relief of constant pain from numerous broken bones, neck strain, and nerve damage has left me appreciative of this insightful & generous doctor. The noticeable difference was recognized by my better-half as she used to be a smidge taller but now I am. Expérience négative: Terrible experience. I purchased a Groupon for an assessment plus two adjustments. First appointment, which was an assessment, was ok. They asked various questions and did x-rays. However, in order to get your results, you are FORCED to do a group meeting first. This is a 2 HOUR appointment. It is a pure scam. You cannot get any results without being put in a room with strangers and be told about "what your results will mean." I should not have to do this in a public session. I have NEVER experienced this with a Chiropractor. Normally you have your first assessment, get a plan, and start adjustments. Not only that, Dr. Cook asks for TIPS. I have never heard of having to give a medical professional monetary tips. This is just wrong. Please, save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

Thousands of dollars later I found another chiropractor and am so much better for it. Even my physio and massage therapist were a little shocked by the care I received here. Please, get a second opinion from somewhere that does not do subscription chiro.

Expérience fantastique: I have a complex medical history and coupled with a car accident I was miraculously helped by Dr Sheldon Cook. One thing I noticed when I went there is how good all his patient's posture is. He even fixed quasimoto me and helped me so much with pain relief. Sadly, I am no longer living in the area and try as I might, to find relief again - Southern Ontario is coming up really short. I wish so much I could clone this Dr and have one of him here near my new home... because after three months and a few other stabs at chiropractors, I am again feeling like the poor hunchback.
