I didn’t realize that I was walking around with one hip higher than the other - my body had learned how to pretty much mask it, but so much of my pain was coming from that - just masking and trying to get through day to day life; with pain that would sometimes keep me in bed all day. Ali and her approach to my particular pain and the recovery program she created for me is care and attention that I have never experienced before. Last year out of nowhere I got vertigo and I messaged Ali and she said come in for a neck adjustment - it was different than my other neck adjustments and instantly my vertigo symptoms were gone! It won't solve *every* medical issue by any means, but you'd be surprised how much extended bodily discomfort can come down to a misalignment of the spine.

Expérience fantastique: When I started with Dr Alex I was in a lot of pain. I could not walk any distance without support; I had difficulty getting in and out of bed without help; my hips were so sore it was very difficult to go from sitting to a standing position without help. I could not lift my left leg more 4 inches to get in and out of my walk-in shower. The pain was intense enough to interfere with getting a nights sleep. I was also taking from 2 to 6 Tylenol every day just to be able to do my daily meals and and the usual things to care for a household. I also would not drive my car - I always had a driver. In addition to my hips I also had lower back pain, which had been on-going for the last few years. During my first appointment Dr Alex examined and assessed me. Later that day I received a write-up of my assessment and some exercise to help with the pain. I started with appointments and after the first appointment I could feel an improvement. I had an appt two times a week to begin and then gradually I had longer time between appts. I had less pain and could move easier. With every appointment I continued to feel better. I started walking outside and continued my exercises. I have finished the 10 appts. I feel 100% better than I did. My goal to begin with was to be able to golf this summer. I have been to the driving range a few times. I think I’m ready for the golf course (at least 9 holes) I would recommend Dr Alex to anyone who is having hip and lower back issues. Joan

I had a bulging L4/L5 disc and was stuck bent forward for weeks and sometimes months. I would rest and “recover” and then easily “reinjure” and be right back to the beginning. I did my research and Dr Alis reviews were amazing! I decided to start regular chiropractic treatments at Queen Street Chiropractic and am I ever glad I DID! At first the idea of chiropractic treatments when I could barely walk or sit seemed frightening but after a very detailed consultation, receiving xrays and a very transparent plan for recovery, I felt at great ease. Ali uses a very gentle method called the activator. It’s a safe, low-force technique. She also has a table that brings you from standing to lying down with zero effort on your end. The plan she set out for me has been a HUGE success! I recommend her to anyone who is struggling with back pain! I have been seeing Ali for around a year and a half, as a person prone to pain, inflammation, migraines and injury Ali has worked hard to correct as much as she can while also helping through my daily responsibilities and desires. Never there longer than 20 minutes. Multiple times when I wake up in pain or after work I am able to call last minute and they will squeeze me in for an adjustment and it has been a life saver multiple times.

Expérience fantastique: I began my treatment with Dr. Houde-Shulman this past September because I was experiencing constant pain in my lower back and neck. I still remember the pain I was in even just walking 10 min to the office when I first started. After the x-rays showed that I had mild scoliosis, she came up with a treatment plan that would help correct the curvature in my back and neck. After a few weeks-months I not only experienced a significant reduction in the pain in my back, but gained a range of motion in my neck that I never realized was possible before! Dr. Houde-Shulman is also extremely friendly and approachable, and she really goes above and beyond for her patients. Unfortunately, I will be moving away from Kingston so I won't be able to continue being her patient but she was kind enough to help connect me with a Chiropractor in my new city! I highly recommend Queen Street Chiropractic!

The consultation revealed I had minor scoliosis (a curve in my spine) by my shoulders and in my lower back. By December I had a noticeable difference in my comfort leveling while sitting and the limp I'd grown accustomed to was much less noticeable thanks to Dr. Ali's help. The appointments are quick and easy with a lower cost than any other chiropractor I've seen. I've recommended two friends to her and they have had similar results as well.

She has been treating my Scoliosis and my body by doing effective adjustments on myself which helps me move and stay healthy through my daily life. I am a personal trainer and an athlete which means i put a lot of strain on my body and Ali keeps my back and body moving fluently and each adjustment helps a lot with my stress level as well. Not only is the adjustments and treatment wonderful, the clinic and the receptionist are so welcoming and kind.
