John Chan Physiotherapy

Fantastic experience: I never really believed in physiotherapy as an effective treatment and had not heard many positive impressions about it. I was referred to Dr. Chan by a few athletes who had been seeing him for several years. During my first visit three years ago, I really appreciated the education and clear information I received about my condition, which helped me start trusting the process. Throughout the treatment, every improvement milestone that Dr. Chan predicted happened almost exactly as he described. The results felt almost like a miracle. I am still visiting Dr. Chan to continue improving and fine-tuning my body. From the moment you meet the front desk staff until the time you leave, you truly feel taken care of. To add to this, I have referred Dr. Chan to several others, and they have also been very happy with their treatment and results.

Negative experience: Admin staff were good. Physio person not so much. Went in for shoulder and bicep tightness and was treated more like an inconvenience with a bit of a negative attitude from someone who didn’t seem to like their job very much. I was then put on a machine for the majority of the session and then given and app and exercises on it. It’d helped but then I went to a different physio place as the issue of the bicep was still prevalent and they diagnosed the actual root of the bicep and shoulder issues as major and minor pectoral issue, so after 18 hrs feeling more flexible teaching back and hope to back to normal soon. Sadly I won’t be back.

My family has occasionally needed physiotherapy over the last twenty+ years and John Chan has always been, and still is, one of the most competent physiotherapists out there. Thanks to this office yet again!

Fantastic experience: What can I say about John Chan Physiotherapy? They are amazing. Starting with the receptionist, they are wonderful. They always make you feel welcome and comfortable. They have cheery dispositions and are fun. As for Haley she has been a God send. She has helped me so much. Today I saw her for vertigo, she spent along time with me and explained things thoroughly. I was actually emotional leaving her office as I feel so fortunate to have her in my corner. I would highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: This place is great, from the second I walked in with my referral getting an appointment quickly was easy. I had met with Sofiya and she was great. I left with some exercises to do on my own but the best part was that she explained everything to me, unlike some of my physicians which I enjoyed because it helped me understand my injury more. Fantastic experience: I’ve been treated for vertigo by Hayley and was impressed by her compassion and knowledge about the vestibular system and how best to resolve my issues in the shortest amount of time. I was recently treated by Karim for excruciating back pain that rendered me unable to walk without assistance. After 2 visits I was on my feet again. I have had severe back pain several times in the past and was shocked at Karin’s ability to alleviate my pain so quickly. The office staff is friendly, efficient and supportive of their patients. I highly recommend this clinic for all physiotherapy needs.

Fantastic experience: I had considerable discomfort in my knees sitting and standing. I received an accurate diagnosis and in my case daily exercises made a huge improvement along with other good advice. Highly recommended! Thank you Haley!!

Negative experience: My cousin had an awful experience with a massage therapist called Dolly. From what he heard it's a trend. She's bossy, doesn't quite follow what you ask of her, etc. Not very good. Not agreeable.

Fantastic experience: I recently saw Christine via a virtual physiotherapy session, well because.. social distancing is a MUST! Prior to the session, I was intrigued as to how we could have a “virtual” physio appointment. Christine made it so easy to communicate about the issues I was experiencing and made it even easier to explain the exercises (and correct where needed) over a video chat! Happy to know that we can still receive the proper care and treatment we need by a professional like Christine!

Fantastic experience: John is simply awesome. He helped me with both my back and wrist this last year, both have improved dramatically! John is friendly and very professional and so are his staff. I highly recommend this establishment.

Negative experience: $65 for a 30 minute session with 5 mins 1 on 1 time while the physiotherapist shuttles among patients ($$$). No explanations or guidance given for exercises. Go somewhere they actually care about patients! Office staff are very nice though.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had neck and lower back issues for years, including surgery on my lumbar spine. Due to these issues I’ve been to multiple physiotherapists throughout the years. Eight months ago I was in a MVA which exacerbated these issues, so I went to see John Chan. He has been remarkable in alleviating my pain. I have never received such care as I have at this clinic. All the staff is very informative and always make you feel at ease. Beyond receiving superior treatment, when you’re in a great deal of pain attending an environment that has such a positive and fun outlook makes all the difference. You can tell everyone loves what they do! Based on my own experience as well as what I’ve observed with other patients there I highly recommend John Chan’s! You won’t be just a number or money in their pocket I assure you. Thank you to the entire team. I couldn’t be more appreciative!

Fantastic experience: I've seen both John and Chris. Chris treated my golfers elbow and John helped me with some neck problems I was having. They are both great and genuinely care about your well being. My elbow and neck are now pain free. The office staff is friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had a rear end collision in Oct. of 2016. I've had physio before throughout the years but I would definitely go back here if I had too do it again. Good relations with patients. Med staff is superior to most places I've been. They do not push you in directions your not comfortable with. No feeling that they are a steam of the legal or insurance companies. They just looked after my recovery. Thank you all.
