Our 9½-year-old Newfoundland, Griffy, developed a painful limp at the end of May, and unlike previous injuries, he wasn't getting better. You cannot find me as one of your patients because I do not trust you and this is not my real name. Very strange experience, first we were told that we cant attend the first appointment alone because the information could be life altering. It felt like fear mongering. Was just looking for an adjustment and all Dr Darryl wanted to do was wrap us up into a long term care plan where we had to attend 2 times a week. We explained thats not something we can afford and we were sent home with papers to sign and told to "think of an ammount we could afford"... whatever that means. Another red flag, side note, was one of the signs at the clinic said that ADHD could be cured with a chiropractor. We thought it was funny, my partner has adhd, but definitely predatory. Yeah Do not recommend

The staff were very nice, however I was there for an hour and a half with about two minutes of adjustment time. I do not have any back pain relief and it seemed like they were more interested in a longterm care plan then actually providing chiropractic care. Very disappointed.

Expérience négative: Although the staff were very friendly, they obviously lacked science based knowledge and support Darryl's fanciful treatment theories. Anyone with rudimentary understanding of anatomy and/or psychology should be able to see through the nonsense he is trying to sell you. His treatment of my husband's back pain made the problem much worse than it was before seeing him. My husband required medical intervention following his "adjustment" at the clinic. Darryl's plan for my husband included a very long term and costly course of treatment. He is a charleton who should be sanctioned by the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. He does not deserve to be called "Doctor".

After having been treated at other chiropractors for over a year, I really hoped this one would be different. Better Life Chiropractic approached my problem very professionally: X-ray, sit and talk about the problem and they really listened. After 6 months I was totally pain free. Dr Darryl's adjustments are REAL adjustments and you feel like a totally different person each and every time you walk out of there. To top it all off: he's got an amazing team of staff: professional and courteous at all times. I definitely recommend Better Life Chiropractic to anyone! It'll change your Life! I applaud Dr Darryl's visit to the Superstore without masks. Dr Darryl has proven to be totally informed about the Covid misinformation that has been circulating over the past several months and has my full support in putting an end to the fear mongering. It is of my opinion, based on research values that the so-called pandemic is focused primarily on the elderly with underlying health conditions. And according to media reports from across the country, most of the deaths are being reported in longterm care facilities. These reports are being manipulated saying that Covid-19 was the reason for these deaths. What is not being said is that many of these people may have had underlying health issues which would have resulted in their expiration eventually. As we all will. What no one is talking about is how many people would have died anyway in old age homes because of the regular flu or not. What no one is talking about is how many people end up in the ICU because of Covid. Just Covid. My extensive research teaches me that we're being presented with numbers of cases, numbers of deaths but no numbers on hospitalizations and occasionally the number of people in ICU's. Last information tells us there's less than 300 people province wide that are in ICU's. This is not a pandemic. One case in a school is NOT an outbreak! Other information is out there that 99 % of infected people recover like from the regular flu. Wake up people.

Expérience fantastique: I am beyond thankful to have found Better Life Chiropractic 6 months ago when I first began my chiropractic care with Dr. Scott. Before I began coming to see Dr. Scott for his knowledge about concussion recovery, I was lost in trying to find a recovery program that was right for me. None seemed to work... until I came to Better Life Chiropractic. I suffered from an overload of recurrent concussions, leading me to feel incompetent in my abilities, and incapable of fulfilling my life goals due to the impact of my concussion symptoms. I quickly was informed that the top part of my spine (the Atlas), was in a completely improper alignment with the rest of my spine due to many collisions to the head. This was disrupting my brain's connection to the rest of my body. Some of the symptoms I was dealing with on the daily were severe headaches, sleeplessness, dizziness, brain fog, lack of vision focus, anxiety, and difficulty handling stress. My first adjustment with Dr. Scott was one I will never forget and excited me with knowing I came to the right place. Immediately following the adjustment with Dr. Scott, was the first time I felt my complete self or 'normal' in over 5 years. With each adjustment I could progressively feel my concussion recovery getting better and better. I am 6th months into my recovery, and feeling healthier than I have in a long time. Due to the progress made by Dr. Scott's care, I have been able to start going back to post secondary education in order to pursue the dreams I once thought I'd never be capable of reaching! To add on I have also noticed incredible improvements in my health and well being with way less headaches, better focus, better sleep, relief from mental health issues, and overall, I feel myself again. Expérience négative: I would first like to state that the staff at the clinic were all welcoming and friendly, no question about that. I attended the clinic for a few weeks (6 I believe) as it was a referral and because I was willing to try something new (bed adjustments vs actual hand/body manipulation). In the end, I decided that this type of treatment was not for me afterall and that I would have made a better financial decision leaving sooner (prior to 4 weeks, as they do reimburse). Pros... Xrays taken, well organized for what it is designed for, definitely a system in place, willing to accomodate peoples schedules (scheduling/rescheduling etc.). Cons... cookie cutter treatment plan, rushed treatments (total time maybe 5 min. on table, body not visually scanned prior to treatment/testing of limbs, rotations/movement etc.), treatment did not feel personalized to individual, assembly line/factory-ish type setting (open rooms/waiting area), financial burden and in general (too many treatments per week, scheduled memebership style like system). Cost vs physical improvement was my main concern. In short... friendly and welcoming place, but if you are familiar with traditional type chiropractic manipulations (neck and spinal adjustments, muscle activation, athletic therapy etc.), this clinic may not be for you. Be well and stay healthy everyone!

Expérience négative: Perfect example of your stereotypical chiropractic clinic. Booked an appointment since I can barely sleep due to all kinds of back pain. Thought I was gonna get some adjustments that I desperately need, but instead I was walked around the office to take an x-ray thinking I would get some work after words. Nope, was told to come back Monday to start my "healthy life" and plan out my finances. Anyone who leaves a good review has clearly never been to a proper chiropractic clinic.

From the very moment I walked in the door the staff have been very pleasant. They always greet you with a Good Morning or afternoon with great big smiles . Dr Andrew has been nothing but Extremely helpful and amazing at explaining my condition, and has made me feel like I can ,and will feel better ,with less pain . Expérience fantastique: I have been receiving chiropractic care for almost 1 year at Better Life Chiropractic in Midland. Prior to my initial assessment, I had never considered going to see a chiropractor. I believed it was only a quick temporary solution that may or may not alleviate the back & neck pains that I had suffered for a few decades. I won’t bore you with the details of why I suffered back & neck pains, but needless to say, prescription and over the counter pain meds were becoming a daily staple in my life. My issue worsened when I had an accident that resulted in tendonitis of my shoulder. Again, I self-medicated to alieve the discomfort. Eventually, my stomach could take no more of the pain killers I was dumping in it, which in turn resulted in waking up in the middle of the night in discomfort. This started to affect my everyday life, so I decided to go visit my GP. After many GP appointments, months and months of waiting for first an ultra sound & then an M.R.I., and yet more pain med prescriptions, I finally received my diagnosis. I then had to wait to see a surgeon, who gave me a cortisone injection & told me to come back in 3 months for another. After a few days of discomfort, the cortisone relieved some of my pain. This is the point when a family member who had been seeing Dr. Thomson, told me he may be able to help me. To say I am a bit of a sceptic would be a massive understatement. If it was not for the fact that the family member who was referring me was also a massive sceptic, but had been seeing Dr.Thomson for 5 years, I wouldn’t have even bothered picking up the phone. After my initial exam & then the orientation, I still wasn’t convinced. I decided I would take The Doctor up on his deal of 30 day money back guarantee, as it seemed like I had nothing to lose other than a few minutes of my time a few times a week. Plus I really was out of options other than pain meds. Fast forward to today, I sleep better, feel better & my shoulder, back & neck are nowhere near as painful as they once were. Another bonus, I have not suffered a cold since seeing Dr. Thomson. Usually I would suffer cold & sniffles all the way from October to the following April prior to seeing Dr. Thomson. I now look back on all the information I was provided with during my orientation, & it now makes sense. I started on 3 appointments a week, & I am now down to 1. Expérience fantastique: I've been in chiropractic care here since 2011 and just in general since around 2007-2008. I've found I've rarely been sick and I find my depression a tad easier. I will say that yes chiropractic works, but it works a lot more if you're willing to have the help. I know many go in hating it and then saying it doesn't work or not helping enough, and as with most forms of healthcare it only works as well as you let it. I personally would recommend this office because the staff here are wonderful and understanding, and truly when you've been here for as long as I have they become like family.
