It was my first experience of anything like this, and it happened in a foreign country. I was frightened, injured, and completely disoriented. Katrina is by far the best massage therapist I’ve ever met. Michael is an outstanding doctor — knowledgeable, attentive, and deeply caring about the recovery process. Expérience négative: I’m writing to share feedback regarding my experience at Paragon Physiotherapy today, which I found disappointing and frustrating. Upon arrival for my scheduled appointment, I was informed at the front desk that my insurance coverage had been maxed out and I would be responsible for covering the remaining balance out of pocket. While I understand and accept that I may need to pay out of pocket in such cases, I had checked my insurance beforehand and noticed a remaining combined balance that, to my understanding, should still provide partial coverage for today’s session. When I expressed this discrepancy and asked if there was anything that could be done to clarify or verify the information on your end, I was met with a defensive response. Michael, the owner and physiotherapist, was asked to speak with me. Rather than engaging in a discussion to understand what I was seeing from my side, he reiterated the same breakdown provided by the front desk and insisted that the clinic’s system was the most up-to-date, dismissing my concerns by stating the coverage was simply “exhausted.” At no point was I asked to show the details I was referencing, nor was any attempt made to reconcile the differences in information. The tone of the interaction felt unnecessarily defensive—as though I was unwilling to pay, which was not the case at all. I was simply seeking clarification for what appeared to be a billing discrepancy. This experience left me feeling unheard and dismissed. I value transparency and professionalism when it comes to healthcare and billing, and I hope this feedback helps improve future interactions for your patients.

Expérience fantastique: I came in to see Elizabeth for neck and back pain which was affecting the nerves going down my arms and legs. I can't say enough good things! Elizabeth was very kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. She was very thorough with my physical history and diagnosis. She helped put my anxieties at ease and set me up with exercises and stretches to help me get better quickly. I only had 4 sessions over two weeks and already felt about 90% better! I continue to follow her advice and am improving more and more at home now. The entire staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And Benny, the dog, is a bonus (I LOVE dogs)!

Expérience positive: The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Liz treated me for tight jaw issues over 5 sessions. She was very intelligent, attentive and keen to learn new techniques to help me. She gave me multiple exercises to work on that have helped a lot. I also quite enjoyed the ultrasound therapy during my appointments. My reasoning behind the 4 stars rather than 5 is that the price for the 60min sessions are fixed, even though some of my sessions were 30-45min. I think there should be a lower rate for 30min sessions. Thanks Paragon (and Liz!)!

Expérience fantastique: As an RMT, I value treatment and rehab protocols that include a passive and active approach with coaching, and that is exactly what I found here. Having a pain and movement assessment, passive therapy such as tens, ultrasound, laser, and then into active exercises to help strengthen and control my movement within a pain tolerance. Michael takes time watching your movements and correcting them, finding issues that you would have otherwise missed, and offering exercises specific to you. Highly skilled, highly knowledgeable staff and students.

Expérience négative: Edit Feb 2, 2025: they emailed few weeks ago offering a free session for removal of this review. I didn't wanna proceed with them so I moved on but they just commented on this review again. The two negative reviews are from me and my wife because we both were there. These people are now going the fake review route. It's great to see they're making changes about dog policy but they still failed to address that they are a teaching clinic and they don't mention this anywhere on their site or when booking. I would expect to be treated by the person I booked but they don't do that and they failed to address this in their email and on this review. Very disappointing. I don't care about how long a Physiotherapy degree takes if I booked Michael for my treatment I would expect to see Michael for my treatment. I also think a dog policy is not needed if the dog doesn't interfere with the treatment but ofcourse patients are not the #1 priority here. #Original review So I booked Michael Krzyszton for my treatment. First appointment, he says today my student will be assessing you and leaves the room with the student. I paid for his experience not his student's learning. If he wants to teach them then he should be present in the room. I am scared of dogs and I mentioned that the very first time so they take the dog away. The first appointment goes by like this and I think it's fine thinking the second one won't be like this. Today I visited for my second appointment and the same story my student will be doing the treatment blah blah.... They start with the same treatment heat and tens which I already have at home. Half of the exercises they told me I already knew. I am expecting to be treated by the person I booked but nope. Furthermore(yes there is more), the student tells me that we are going to try a few exercises in the gym. He leads me to the gym room where the dog is(which I am scared of). Michael says today is your day to overcome your fear of dogs. I have a phobia of dogs and I tell him... Guess what they didn't move the dog but moved me back to the room where I was in instead and skipped my gym therapy. My point is physiotherapy students at CNA do these assessments for around 40 bucks. I booked Michael for his reputation and experience but this is what I got.

Staff extremely friendly and Michael was extremely knowledgeable and confident if I followed his direction and did what he asked I could certainly avoid surgery. I had multiple injuries a level III floating clavicle, torn rotor cuff and a compressed disk in my neck.. I was extremely skeptical to be totally honest , I was totally convinced the only way I could be fully rehabilitated and get back to work was shoulder surgery . It’s been just over 6 months and my range of motion and strength is over 95% , still a little ways to go so I’m keeping up with the exercises and still continuing physio to try and fully recover . I’m totally happy with my progress and most important to me I’m back to work. Highly recommend and good luck if you require some professional help..

I got into a major accident that ended in severe roadrash on my lower back, damage to my elbows and legs, but particularly bad in my right knee.
