A Plus Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre

Fantastic experience: I came to A-PLUS Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre after nearly a year of acute pain to my neck, shoulder and arm. Instead of getting better, with time the pain grew worse with numbness, tingling, and severe movement limitations. Then I started my journey into searching for a suitable therapist to help me keep my pain under control. At last I came to A-Plus Centre. There, in as little as 6 weeks, Michael's massages significantly reduced the pain of my neck, back and arms and improved the quality of my muscle tone. Michael has been very instrumental in setting a new record in the improvement of my condition. Encouraged to pursue my treatments with A PLUS to further improve my range of motion limitations and hand numbness, Joy (Osteopath) is now being consulted. Joy has a vast expertise and knowledge. Her hand-on accurately assessed my condition and I am again encouraged that her input into my present condition will further progress the healing of my injured arm. At 78 years of age, progression or lack thereof from acute (now chronic) injury maybe dependent on several factors, not all related to great quality Therapists (like Michael and Joy) who are most dedicated to offer their skills and talents to help us. At my age and in my condition, progression means one small step at a time. But it is better than no progression at all. I have rightly trusted Michael and now I trust Joy to lead me onward. A PLUS is a great place to heal. Everyone wear the best of smiles. It is a lovely, superbly maintained clinic.

He is patient, kind, explains all procedures thoroughly and makes certain you are comfortable. He has sent off reports to different doctors to update and follow up. Fantastic experience: I started going to A Plus Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre with a sore back. Michael was very pleasant to deal with and he took the time to get to the bottom of the problem. I am back to playing sports like hockey and curling with little to no pain. He has me on a plan to stretch daily so the problem will not return.

Fantastic experience: I have a history of issues with my dominant arm and it was tennis elbow that finally got me to find a new physio therapist. After only 3 sessions with Michael, my pain had subsided significantly. Michael is very knowledgeable with shockwave therapy, acupuncture and manual therapy. He is now working on the long term issue in which I am seeing more progress than I have ever had with any of the 5+ therapists I have seen in the past. The reception staff is also super delightful! Plenty of free parking and accessible access.

Fantastic experience: I have been to other physiotherapist clinic but I never found one like this. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by such a kind person named princess. So, a physiotherapist named Michael was assigned to me right away. I can't say enough of this man, he went beyond his task in helping me get better. He's human, caring, funny and so knowledgeable. I saw him acting the same way with all the other patient I crossed during my session. I can't say enough good things about him. Positive experience: I am being treated for a pinched nerve in my shoulder I have been there twice and another appointment is November 7. Not fixed yet but coming along.

When I first visited them, I was suffering from constant pain in my lower back and left leg. Standing, walking and trying to sleep were extremely painful. Fantastic experience: I’ve been shopping around for Physiotherapist since 2017 because of my left leg and my right shoulder problems. Every time I stepped into new physiotherapy clinic I came out of very dissatisfied and disappointed.This year 2022 early spring I met my friend for lunch and we exchanged info about our experiences in trying so many Physiotherapists and my friend said, you should try my Physiotherapists they’re really good. I didn’t hesitate but contacted them right away. To make my story shorter, I had Justin, Joy and Dianna. My long time problems are finally gone. I’m very grateful and satisfied with their services. Everything is number one. I highly recommend them to anyone who has a lot of pain and problems with their whole body.

Fantastic experience: I just got back from my first session for recurrent tennis elbow pain. Justin did a great job identifying the exact problem areas and providing the needed treatment. The soreness had gone down significantly by the end of the appointment. I also appreciated the explanations of the exercises, and recommended treatment options for when I'm at home. Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for over a month now to get therapy on my wrist and arm that has been hurting for the past 2 years. I have tried other physical therapists, chiropractors and massage therapists at other clinics, however Justin from A Plus Physiotherapy has been the best in terms of navigating a way to treat the pain and keep it away. Not only has he done well treating my wrist and arm, but he is also doing a fantastic job on treating my chronic shoulder and chest pain. I look forward to each visit and I find that after each visit, I wake up to have less and less pain.

Justin was able to point out the root cause and treated the affected area. Since she opened the A Plus Physio clinic I’ve always had a wonderful experience with them. They have that beaming smile every time I enter their clinic which is very clean and orderly. My 4 visits at the clinic was very helpful and end up solving the problems at least 90%.I believe that at the end of the visitations my problem will be completely resolved.

Fantastic experience: Aside from my chronic pain, I also get impingements without knowing why and sometimes I cannot pinpoint exactly where the pain is but Diana always know spot on which part to treat. Then I get amazed that I can mobilize and feel relief from the stiffness right away! I always never want our sessions to end! And at first I don’t prefer shockwave therapy but she worked with me patiently until I found shockwave my favorite now. We belong to her pioneer clients and are very happy for her clinic expansion and growth so more people can get the services/treatments from the whole A Plus Physio team. It’s also a joy to be treated by Joy for osteopathy because her approach and explanations make me understand my body better. Everytime my husband and I go to their clinic, we are warmly welcomed and we know we are in for a wellness treat!

Fantastic experience: Diana is truly an amazing physiotherapist and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is more hands-on and is stronger than she looks! Some people may be surprised how strong she really is but her methods truly work for me. She difinitely has the knowledge and will gladly explain her methods to you. The key is to let her know what you expect from her and she will accommodate different techniques at the clinic as well as exercises for home to cater to your needs. She truly care about her patients and will go an extra mile for you. When my dad got very sick she gave us some exercises that we can do with him at home. Thank you so much for that Diana! It helps us through a very stressful time. As for her clinic, I have no complaints. She keeps it pristine and ensure to follow Covid guidelines. I love the fact the she only takes 1 or 2 patient at a time from the same household. This guarantee that her focus are only you or another family member with you. I hate when I go to other clinic and the physiotherapist sees multiple other patients on your allotted time. With Hickson Crescent Physiotherapy, you really feel your $$ are well spent and you feel the results!

Fantastic experience: Dianna did a fantastic job throughout all aspects of my treatment. During our one-on-one sessions she explained exactly what was the cause of my pain and treated it accordingly. As a result my pain has completely disappeared and I now have use of my shoulder. I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: Ive been seeing Diana since last year because of my shoulder and neck injury. She uses shockwave therapy and hands on, and it feels so good. She is really good, that after 3 or 4 treatment my shoulder and neck doesn't feel tight and sore. The clinic is very clean and the staff are friendly. Highly recommended. Fantastic experience: Mike is knowledgeable on what he does as a physiotherapist. My shoulder and lower back felt so much better after my treatment. He combined dry needling and manual stretching to loosen up my tight muscles. He's pretty well recommended

Fantastic experience: This clinic is outstanding…My family and I have been followed by our physiotherapist (Mr. Michael Malvar) over the years and his care, professional skills and knowledge, assessments and treatments are simply and consistently, excellent!! Mr. Malvar cares about his patients general health and will generously give of his time, providing follow-up telephone calls to assess and determine pain/comfort levels. Aplus Physio also has wonderful, efficient and very friendly front office staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Malvar and this clinic!!
