Fantastic experience: Often when posting a Google review I am very careful to not be hyperbolic in my wording as it can be a digital problem but I am not joking when I say that Steven Keefe's professionalism, advocacy and support during a lengthy WCB adjudication process to rehab a serious sprain in my right knee has dramatically changed my overall health in a matter of 6 months. Steve's holistic approach, friendly demeanour and fierce commitment to seeing his patients' improve, included easy to explain exercises I could do at home and regularly throughout my day. It was a true pleasure being treated here. If you're a person right now in Halifax dealing with chronic pain I commiserate with you and implore you to make an appointment at this clinic. Not only are the practitioners friendly but Shirley the clinic administrator makes rescheduling a dream. Thank you again!

Plus Shirley is very friendly and will do her best to find you a suitable time slot. UPDATED: July 2019. What can I say? I'm so glad Stephen Keefe is one floor away because I seem to frequently need his help to get me back to being pain free. Stephen is very knowledgeable and friendly and gets to the crux of the problem pretty quickly. And he doesn't push you into more treatments than you need. Totally professional. Kudos to Steve!! PS. Always happy to see Shirley even though I now use the on-line scheduler which saves a lot of time for us both. Update 2021-22: back again and once again Steve guided me to a better place. Back pain was excruciating but Steve knew exactly the cause.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Lifemark has been excellent. Stephen Keefe has treated a few times on various issues I have endured. Each time was superior service with a great recovery. Rachel has also treated me with great results. Both go into great detail to explain my injury to me so I understand how to heel and prevent any further incidents. Shirley at the reception desk always provides a warm welcome and will do her best to flex my scheduled visits to be convenient with my personal time.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Jean Bridle at Lifemark Physiotherapy at Purdys Wharf for several years. It started out with lower back and neck issues, thankfully with Jean's help those issues have gone away for the most part. I went to the Purdys location because it was convenient and someone told me Jean was 'the best'. Great advice! I have since retired, Purdys is a bit out of the way, but still go there for regular 'maintenance' with Jean... she is the best. She is very talented and very engaged in my well being. The whole Purdys experience is wonderful, from scheduling and being greeted by Shirley to Jean and the other services they offer.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Lifemark at Purdys Landing for years utilizing physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic and acupuncture. The receptionist, Shirley is always very welcoming and helpful in booking appointments that accommodate my work schedule and finding the earliest possible appointment when the need is urgent. Currently I see Jean (massage therapist ) and Lauren (chiropractor) and both are always friendly and provide excellent care. These two have literally keep me going for years when I have overdone it with gardening or other household projects, or even just need some general maintenance. I completely trust them both and the recommendations and treatment plans they have put in place over the years. There is never any pressure to book appointments unnecessarily from this practice and I truly feel that they listen and care about me as a client.

Fantastic experience: Deciding to go to Lifemark may have been the smartest thing that I've done in awhile. Steve Keefe is absolutely amazing at what he does. I can confidently say that he has dramatically helps me out, and the second I feel a pain resurfacing, I get into see him and it's taken care of ASAP. I really like both facilities (Purdy's and Saint Mary's). I also see Caleigh Robertson for massages, and she is amazing too! Both Steve and Caleigh are very knowledgeable and really know what they are doing. I would 100% recommend this facility to anyone who needs a tune up! Keep up the good work folks!

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of this clinic (Purdy's) for 8 + years. Although the initial referral was for physiotherapy; massage therapy was soon added to my treatment plan. Since then I have continued to have regular massages from Jean Bridle and episodic appointments with Steve Keefe for dry needling. Both Jean & Steve provide excellent care. I have found them both to very knowledgeable, competent caring professionals providing terrific service. I would highly recommend them both. Also, I must give a shout out to Shirley at the front desk who provides a very welcoming reception.

Fantastic experience: Great downtown location! My only hesitation in providing a 5-star review for Lifemark Purdy's (and RMT Jean Bridle in particular who is super skilled and knowledgeable), is that more people will discover this place that keeps me healthy. But that would be selfish! So please go see Jean for a massage (you need it, I know you do, because we all do) or Steve if you need some physio (which I did, because I'm hard on myself) and he will help get you back on your feet (in my case literally as it hurt to walk before seeing him). Led by intrepid office manager Shirley, the Purdy's Landing team of professionals truly care about their patients' well-being and go the extra mile to follow up. They are always there when I need them.

Fantastic experience: After hurting my back badly I went to receive treatment from the chiropractor Lauren. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me while I asked a million questions about my back pain. Lauren was very thorough and took her time to help me. I felt very comfortable and had no doubts I was receiving the best care. I definitely recommend coming to this life mark location to receive treatment from Lauren!

Fantastic experience: Love, love, love the team at Lifemark in Purdy’s Landing! Recently had an injury that Stephen (Physiotherapist) and Lauren (Chiropractor) worked together, sharing information, so that I could be feeling my best self as soon as possible. Even while in pain I had full trust that I was in the best care as they are both experts at what they do. Also recommend massage treatments from Caleigh & Jean as they are very knowledgeable in their field. Shirley (Front Office) is very welcoming and super helpful with any questions regarding booking appointments or billing. They are my go to ‘health squad’.

Fantastic experience: Luckily I have not had to visit Lifemark Physiotherapy often, however, it was a very pleasant experience and I felt quite confident in the treatment I received. The receptionist is lovely and very personable. Steve, my physiotherapist, was quick to diagnose and create a treatment plan for my injury. Also, this is a very convenient location, as it is in the same office complex as my place of work.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many physio clinics over the past 24 years and this by far has been the best one! Steve is by far the most approachable, knowledgeable and helpful physiotherapist that I have ever dealt with. He makes you feel very comfortable, keeps you informed, pushes you, but not too far. He is also a great communicator. At this location they also have the most amazing massage therapist I have ever had. Jean is amazing! The most down to earth, patient and kind person! To top it off, I like to say that she has healing hands. Due to her talent, don't be surprised if there is a waitlist for her, but she is worth the wait. :) Shirley, the clinic administrative assistant is also very helpful when I have inquiries. You will not be disappointed if you choose to go to this clinic!

She takes the time to understand what’s going on with me and my injuries and works with me to ensure I understand how to minimize the potential for additional injuries. She gives the best deep tissue massage and her knowledge of sports related injuries is very impressive. I was back to regular activities within 3 months and the work I did with Stephen during this time was a direct result of the shorter recovery period.

He has different skills/types of treatment, my favourite being the dry needling for my back. The results were fantastic and he is great at explaining everything to you. Fantastic experience: Stephen Keefe has been my physiotherapist for several months now following a motor vehicle accident and he has been excellent. He is very knowledgeable and great at explaining what he is doing and why, which I appreciate. He has also been wonderful all filling out all of the paperwork required of my insurance company, as well as coordinating treatment plans and communicating with the multitude of other health care specialists I see on a weekly basis. This coordinated care has been instrumental in helping me recover from my accident while trying to maintain my busy schedule and excel in school.

Fantastic experience: I have been receiving treatment from Stephen Keefe since April 2018. The Team at Purdy's Lifemark is terrific. I suffered a traumatic knee injury on April 5th and called the clinic on April 9th as I was completely unable to walk. Shirley went above and beyond and got me in that very same day with Stephen. Stephen proved himself extremely knowledgeable, sympathetic and importantly, very gentle with my injured knee whilst performing the initial assessment. As an athletic person I have been struggling immensely with this injury, and I know that Stephen is utilizing his ample skill set to ensure that I can return to my activities safely and in a timely fashion. I went in to my first appointment on crutches, incapable of supporting my own weight, and I am happy to say that in just a little over a month I will be able to walk to my next appointment with Stephen sans crutches. I am beyond thrilled with the level of care I have received from Stephen. I am confident that the treatment he has administered combined with realistic recovery exercises will set me safely and quickly on a path to recovery. Thank you Stephen for making a difficult time a delight, I am so grateful for your kindness and your expertise.

Fantastic experience: Had the best experience with Purdy's Landing location. The personal touch was great. Stephen not only addressed the reason I was there in the first place, but also addressed what could cause me issues in the future. Helping me to avoid future injuries and pain. Fantastic experience: Steve was my physiotherapist for a few months after my knee injury from a basketball game. He did all he could to get the swelling under control and for me to regain my range of motion! He has great patient care and was able to put me in contact with a sports medicine doctor who further helped me get the treatment I needed. Thankfully in a short turn around I am on the mend! Shirley is amazing as well and made me feel welcomed from my very first visit!

Stephen Keefe has been very helpful with my most recent running injury, helping me through with a variety of treatment, and suggestions. Fantastic experience: Stephen Keefe is not only a great professional Physiotherapist, he has a warm, friendly approach that serves the client both physically and emotionally by making the exercises relevant to the person's life, enjoyments and daily activities. He takes a great personal interest in learning what the client's needs and activities are and makes the exercises fit so the client can achieve not only the physiotherapy goals but serves the client's mobility/activity needs as well.
